I present to you the greatest drink ever made. Maple sap fresh from the tree with fresh squeezed lemon and the extra bite of cayenne pepper and ginger to go with the bubbling fizzy carbonation. This is the unveiling of Ecogarden MegaCorporation. I have been planning this food business for many years and finally have enough supplies to go Full Steem Ahead! This year I am tapping dozens of Maple Trees to diversify my portfolio a bit more. After Maple Season is done then Birch Season begins! I hope that this will be the most blessed year of my life! Enjoy the journey to self-sufficiency with me, friends. This is my first bottled soda.
The Ultimate Healthy and Refreshing Drink: MAPLE LEMONADE
Tap your trees early to mid February in the Midwest, USA. Or when Temperatures reach below freezing at night and about 40 degrees F during the day.
I invested some of my Steemit payouts in Maple Syrup Spiles. Only 80 dollars for 100 of them! These will bring me a lifetime of Maple and Birch Syrup!
I drill about an inch into the maple tree and pound in the spile. 5/8 inch food grade hose running into a food grade jug or bucket.
BOOM! Maple Sap, On of the Key ingredients in Maple Sap Lemonade!!!!! On a good day you can get a gallon out of a large tree in a few hours with 3 taps.
You can carbonate the Maple Sap Lemonade with a bit of Baking Soda if you wish, the acidity of the lemons helps to carbonate. Or you can use a Soda Stream or similar carbonation device. This is what I prefer.
Have I told you how much I love Lemons? It's my favorite food. Lemons are life. I have over 20 lemon trees started right now with hundreds more on the way. Here is how Baking Soda reacts to the sap lemonade! Don't add too much Baking Soda, you might create a Steemy Volcano.
That sounds like one amazing drink.

I loved using the fresh Maple Syrup sap up in Wisconsin for my drinks. I would heat it up and use it to make sweetened teas!
Nice post!

I am so excited for Maple season. Something about the smell of woodsmoke and sugar. Do you plan on making syrup or sugar too?

@noganoo You're freaking amazing being able to juice your own maple tree. I'm curious about what it would taste like.
I wonder if this would fit as foraging -
wow! It's amazing taking a sap out of those trees Im curious about the taste as well as that of the birch.
I won't take it with a soda but will surely try this given a chance - it's a very good survival tip!

Nice work @noganoo! Maple sap is so good! That's a creative way to use it, too, without having to boil it down. And the ingredients you're adding would go great with the sap. Outstanding!
When I lived in Michigan, I tapped my own trees. With cold, cloudless nights, I would put the sap in big bowls out in the open, like on top of a car. The heat would radiate out at night and ice would form on the sap. That ice is pure water, so remove it and the sap is now more concentrated. I could really get the sap a lot more concentrated that way.

Awesome @noganoo! Tapped Maple trees many years ago and sure is a treat. Made some Maple syrup on a wood stove with one batch turning into maple sugar on accident but turned good as well.

What a great drink! Would love to try it one day. Unfortunately, we don't have Maple trees, but it prob would work with the raw coconut palm juice/nectar we have here too. Oh have you ever tried to use a fermented ginger bug to create a natural fizz? We use it all the time; it is super easy to set up. Ginger, water, and sugar... is all you need. we often add fresh turmeric too.
