So, The Spin Doctor, you know who/what that is right?
In politics, a spin doctor is someone who is skilled in public relations and who advises political parties on how to present their policies and actions.
To me, it's the person that told you that the bogeyman, the policeman or some other person was going to get you if you didn't eat all the veggies on your plate. Remember that as a kid? I certainly do.
The Spin Doctor is also the bully at school, the one that got you to do his dirty work because he was too afraid to get caught. If you're a girl, the Spin Doctor is the guy that you met in school, college or the work place through a friend and was sold as some kind of knight in shining armour. Maybe you got your knight.. or maybe you got sold those bill of goods.
The Spin Doctor is also the car salesperson that "saw you coming" or the real estate agent that "spun" you into purchasing that house. The only concern they ever had, was filling their wallet with that fat commission.
The travel agent, the appliance salesperson, the shoe salesperson, the dry cleaner, the political strategist etc..
Wait, "Political strategist"??
Yep, that's another Spin Doctor that we have to watch out for.
To me, a regular citizen living in Arkansas for pretty much all my life, Donald Trump has always come across as some mystical character. I voted for him even though I felt there was so much I didn't know about him. But I did know Hillary Clinton, she was my Governor's wife, married and lived in a house not far from where I lived as a kid.
Back when Bill was Governor, she was behind the scenes and rarely ever surfaced. It wasn't until Bill announced his presidential candidacy that she took a stage along side Bill.
Anyway, as for voting for any person. I make sure i'm not in bed with them. Throughout their political life, I'll make sure to keep up with what they do, what they say, and how they square up to my expectations. I believe everyone should be doing this. Even when they don't share my political views.
And i'll be the first person to admit, Trump has thrown me for a loop time and time again. You only have to turn on the TV and watch the media document what he does and says.
However, luck has it that I follow ADOS - American Descendants Of Slaves and other African American Black Conservatives who share opposing views of what the news media is telling us.
You weigh the views and come to your own conclusion. That's what I've always done and what you should to.
Remember, they're all spinners.
