The Witness

I've always been a witness
I have always tried to look beyond and inside.
I have always studied everything with inner opening...
...looking in and out.

Cosmos, stars, worlds and supernovas;
eras, years, days and nights;
cities, streets, street lamps and houses cross me.
People, looks, kisses and slaps;
cries, laughter, fake cries and smiles;
envy, altruism, dreams and opinions dive into me.

Here, I discover that the others are pervading me,
infecting me, influencing me.
I no longer know who and where I am.

I observe "my" anxieties, "my" fears, "my" movements,
"my" looks, "my" laughter, "my" destiny, "my" opinions.

My sleep.

I observe my thoughts on "me".
But how many "me" do I contain?

I've always been a witness.
A sky hosting ever-changing clouds.

And here, deep inside, I find I do not have a starting point.
Here, deep inside, the realization that "I" 've never existed...
