in sports •  8 years ago

Hello everybody, in todays "Fitness Tips" I want to explain you what is cardio training, why and when to do cardio.

Cardio exercise is an important part of an effective weight loss program. It helps in weight control and to burn calories that would otherwise be stored as fat. Cardio activity also helps prevent many diseases and improve overall health.

For the begining let's clear what is cardio training. This is any exercise which elevates the heart rate between 60 to 85 percent of maximum. When you are in this range heart rate, it is a "cardio" or "aerobic" training. Cardio training has numerous health benefits. In addition to burning calories and losing body fat, strengthens the heart and lungs.

You can do Cardio on the bike, treadmill, going upstairs... The bike is an excellent cardio workout, depending on resistance and speed can burn 250 to 500 calories in 30 minutes. Treadmill running can burn 300 calories in 30 minutes. Fast walking is a less strenuous form of cardio exercise. It can burn up to 180 calories in 30 minutes.

The benefits of cardio training:

  • Provides energy
  • Prevents disease
  • Helps you to lose body fat
  • It speeds up metabolism

The best time for cardio
Best time in which cardio training has the most effect on your body fat are the morning hours.
The best time for cardio training, while also doing at the same time and training with weights is the time after a training with weights. During this training your body also burns calories. The energy extracted from glycogen reserves that are empty, and in the end there is only energy from a fat.
In this way you will increase your chances of burning fat - burn them twice in a row!

Cardio is not only the type of training it is also a way of life. Being active, feel good and look even better. Learn to have fun while you train, enjoy and keep saying to yourself that the cardio great for you. Do not forget that there are so many variants of this type of training. There is really no reason to persistently work only one training that you might already be bored. Combine running, jogging, brisk walking, bike and stepper or treadmill or rowing.

Love the advice on cardio in the mornings and after workouts being the best times to employ cardio to burn body fat.
Remember that the best heart rate beats per minute (approximately between 115-130) will burn the greatest percentage of calories from an individuals' fat stores.
Sprinting will only burn about 2% of calories from fat stores. LOTS of calories burned, but very little body fat.
A brisk walk will burn about 70% of calories from fat stores. Less calories burned than running hard, however the majority of them will be from body fat stores.
