So my wife walks into the room "What year did George Lucas die?"

I look at her with a confused look "He didn't die".

She looks back at me "Yes he did."

"No he sold the rights to Star Wars to Disney"

"Okay, what year did he do that?"

I googled it and told her 2012.

She left satisfied.

I found it interesting on this May the 4th be with you that her mind and whomever she was talking to had made the leap of selling the Intellectual Property with death.

The creator sells their creation and then ceases to be...

I responded to a question the other day I believe from @thecryptofiend though I may be remembering the wrong person. The question was "What would I do if I were immortal?"

My answer was that I would create. If I cannot create things then for me there is not much reason to live.

This is an odd little post, but I found the associating the selling of intellectual property with death to be interesting, and it did tie into that question about immortality as well. If I sold my IP and then no longer created could that be similar to death?

Hahaha... I'll do that.

He didn't die when he sold the rights... but I was reborn!!!!!

That is hilarious!!!!

Maybe google is talking about his directing career. 2012 seems about right. :)
