Well, "money" were always part of Steem, and people think of it, so unless we plan on removing the rewards, we have to deal with the amplified reactions based on effects to people's wallets.

That's a "problem" regular social media sites (still) don't have.

Totally agree.

On the other hands, we need to start participating on the decission making somehow, i mean, we have an entire voting system, its curious how we are not able to choose.

I was thinking on authenticate users. Have a parlament and get closest to a democracy, for monarchys we have facebook and twitter

In theory, our governance is assured by witnesses, which we can vote in or out of their positions.

In practice, it's pretty hard for community voted witnesses to accede to Top 20. Not impossible though. But still there are 20 places in Top 20, and a super majority means 17.

I know of course. But individual votes doesnt count. Votes count by stakes.

And that is how the system can be easily manipulated by a tiny elite (correct me if im wrong)

And sorry about my bad english

You are not wrong. That problem has been discussed before, because many felt or knew some witnesses were artificially kept in Top 20, because they followed a certain line.

It's a delicate matter. And it cannot be changed immediately, but in time, with a stronger middle class grown. Of course the EIP changes don't facilitate the growth of a strong middle class, and that's not a good thing either about it.

Other blockchains (bitcoin, EOS and probably Etherium) have an even smaller number of true decision-makers.

Well bitcoin and eth are not premined.

And also they dont have a dedicated place to organize, vote and argue like here. Bitcoin dont need a strong middle class and eth neither.

Thanks for reading me
