@Jerrybanfield is asking for flags. Yeah I'm really surprised as well but it's true. Just take a look on the screenshot of his latest post. I mean it couldn't be more obvious, a big "Flag" button next to his picture.
Further the short pre-read mentions "... what we see here is the most important issue ...". I think that sums it up pretty nicely or what do you say? Take another look at his posts picture xD
(I'm of course a nice person and made his wish come true. So don't be bad to him by not granting him the flags he's asking for xD)

I disagree. Allowing people to flag "hate speech" evolves into people labeling everything they disagree with as hate speech. Let's keep Steemit censorship free!
Also, how much legitimate "hate speech" is there on Steemit? SJWs have already taken all the other social media sites and turn them into groupthink echo chambers.

It's one thing to criticize Jerry (there are lots of reasons to do so) but I totally agree to change the flagging system! Flags are abused much more than anything else on the blockchain. I have blocked everyone on my radar who is abusing flags over the past weeks (and at the same time posting worthless shit themselves). I don't see them anymore, but they keep abusing the flagging system.
I would give every user 1 flag per day, so that everyone clearly thinks twice before hitting the flag button for personal reasons. If the flagging system will stay like it is at the moment, I see no future for the blockchain on the long run.

Well, at this moment we have people here who shitpost AND flag the whole day and have not produced one single post of value since they are on the blockchain.
With this, we could eliminate 50% of their useless existence, which is a deal I'd make each and every time!
Don't forget, that especially the people who flag the whole day just say, that they do it for quality reasons, but do it for their ego and to win personal wars.

We got already enough flag wars here and I am glad to see things calmed down a bit between the whales. But we will definitely flag who really deserve it. I really doubt that it will change the price of steem, but Jerry is always creative :)

You and @jerrybanfield are right we should flag the posts which involve plagiarism, internet trolling, miss-categorized posts but hate speech have different meanings for everyone... it may lead to some dangerous consequences for steemit. So, we should keep the freedom of speech on in this regard and keep upvoting good posts while downvote the bad posts....
