Looks like you picked another batch of winners. I try not to even mention the word Dlive anymore. It is like a bad word. I feel like I need to wash my mouth out with soap :) Hopefully things will pick up here soon. There is just too much good stuff going on for it to keep going like this too much longer.

I think we need to be aware of the competition. Steem is still too small to be sure of success.

If we want Steem to be more valuable, we have to make it so.

Very true. We need people to worry less about short-term earnings and focus on building something that could have far more value later. That means more users and better content.

With an emphasis on quality. I'm starting to think we may not want a massive user base, but one that is all about quality. Opinions...

I think we need to reach some sort of 'critical mass' that is sustainable. We do not want to be flooded with spam and junk comments. I am quite amazed that has not happened generally. There needs to be a good range of content. It's already pretty good as it is not all about crypto. People discuss cooking, knitting, running, music and many other things here.

I really don't know where it's heading, but it's a fun ride.

That it is.

Thanks for the mention Steve.

Hopefully we can make the Alexa graph turn round soon.

Thanks @SteevC Much appreciated, I'm thinking of doing a meaningful post on something that, well, is meaningful to me, I'll work on it over the weekend.

You should write about anything you want really. See if you find an audience. Have a look around to find more people to follow and comment on.

BTW To collect your rewards you have to log in on the wallet page with your active key. They split that off from the main site and it will cause confusion

Will do, I think that there needs to be some sort of notification as to replies, comments, votes etc. @steevC

Unfortuntately the Steemit site does not do notifications, although it did at some point. You can use https://partiko.app/referral/steevc mobile app or https://busy.org/i/@steevc as a web interface or https://esteem.app/ that has mobile and desktop apps and all have notifications. You just log into those with the same key.

I tend to use a mix of these, so I may get notifications from an app, but still use Steemit to write posts and comments.

Thanks for the support!

Thanks for the ongoing support, and for the SBI share @steevc!

I appreciate the help and the recent "Minnow Making" efforts have definitely increased attention. Many of my posts are now getting 40-50 upvotes where they were getting in the 20's and 30's, just 60 days ago. Sadly, commenting hasn't grown all that much.

Although Steemit's rankings have been sliding for a while, I think we are all part of a new trend now... and things are getting more active thanks to a collective "bubble of activity" that's expanding from within, perhaps with some of its roots in the first posts calling for an expanded middle class in the community. Perhaps the newness factor has somewhat worn off, but now we can use the various twitter and other external social media efforts to be more discerning in who we onboard... abandon the old "Join Steemit and make lots of easy money" approach that caused the floodgates to open, earlier on.

The extra votes can come from voting trails and so do not always mean extra visitors. That comes from engaging with others. I enjoy getting comments and have had some great discussions.

We need Steem to become a popular place to be regardless of rewards, but it's a chicken/egg situation.
