I Made $230 In 7 Days Just From Posting Comments On STEEM. You Can Too!!!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

in steem β€’Β  7 years agoΒ  (edited)

"I can't make any money here."
"The system is rigged."
"The Whales only circle vote."
"Nobody reads my stuff so I can't make any money."

Have you uttered these words? Did you say (think) them recently?

If so, then you might want to pay attention.

Two weeks ago, I decided to do an exercise. This was informal and I announced it to nobody since I did not want any interference. I always tell newer people that the key to success on the STEEM blockchain is to comment. However, I always did this without any accurate numbers.

The project started Sun 2/4 and ran through Sat 2/10. During this time, I did nothing except post like I normally do.

From Sun 2/11-Sat 2/17, I recorded all the payments that came in from my comments.

On Sunday 2/18, I tallied the SBD and SP, converted the SBD (for number purposes) using the SBD/SP rate posted on steemit.supply by @dragosroua and the price quoted on there.

There were two rules:

A. Post like I normally do which was verified by @abh12345's weekly report for @fulltimegeek's SOG report of roughly 100K words posted.
B. I was not allowed to upvote one single comment during that time so my SP had no effect.

A couple advantages that might exist:

A. My Rep is 66...personally, when I upvote comments, rep means nothing to me but some might give preferential treatment to higher reps.
B. I am on here almost 6 months meaning I do have relationship with some people from our interaction in the past. That said, there were a few votes I know I received from a couple heavy hitters that I never interacted with before.

I bring this up just to state it might be an advantage I have that a newer person does not.

Nevertheless, this is what occurred.

Over the 7 days, I earned 35.958 SBD and 9.020 SP.

Converting the SBD at the rate of 1.228 netted me 44.156 SP.

When added to the 9.020 SP, this brings my total to 53.176 SP.

At the time I ran the numbers, STEEM was priced at $4.35 for a total of $231.58.

I did this exercise to quantify what commenting can do. Anyone with under 500 SP should be using this approach. Even if you do not get 50 SP in a week, earning 25 should not be difficult. Quality comments receive upvotes from Whales, Orcas and Dolphins. Concentrating on this means you will not be posting the lame excuses I started this article with which, as shown by these numbers, are totally false.

Over the course of a year, using this payout, one will earn over $12,000 USD simply for posting comments. Of course, the naysayers will cite the fact that I have relationships with some of the people who voted for me, hence most will not get $231 from commenting right away.

Fair enough.

One thing I will guarantee is that if one posts comments like I did, that person will earn at least half of what I did. Plus, using this approach for 3-4 weeks will establish a lot of strong relationships. There is no reason why someone cannot be at this level within a month of getting started.

So there you have it. Based upon these numbers, there are 50 SP a week in the comment section just waiting for you.

Now you know the secret.

If you found this article informative, please give it an upvote and a resteem.

No doubt about it. Meaningful comments that add value are rewarded. And just about all you need to do that is be a real person!

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Hehe :) . My first meaningful sbds were from comments. One upvote gave me 0.65 sbd, i couldn't believe my eyes cos then my posts were getting little less than 0.14 , and still do as at now.

But then one just have to keep at it. The comments section allows for interaxtion with people already in the system

Lady luck favors the one who tries. Law of serendipity. I am not lady luck but I gave you a considerable vote for trying.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Lady luck sure swung my way , hehehe :D. More screen grabs. This would be impossible without @taskmaster4450 . I thank you all for making my week.

Yes and you get hit up once in a while as @thing-2 just did....

Nice upvote there....

See, put up a comment and you never know what happens.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

2.77 sbd . Woah, this is just great. I should screen grab this for a future testimony

Now up to $3.21

That is a better screen shot.

You will enjoy that especially if the SBD/SP split widens over the next week....

A nice payout for you.

Haha, am smiling from ear to ear. :)

Inspired by your post, I added some love as well.

Good luck appriciated..

Right

For those who's native language is not English it's much harder to do quality comment.
I'm for example can easily read English, but to give a substantial, smooth comment is much harder ((

Nonetheless, your point is valid for many.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Looks like another excuse ;-)

Comment, and you're going to win twice!
You'll get some $$$, and your new friend - google translate - will help you to improve your English ;-D

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ (edited)

Well I'm six points lower than you in rep score and I got above $0.60 on one of my comments yesterday and that happens fairly often when I leave a well worded, meaningful response to the person's post or add something of value to it. Even when my rep score was lower and I was new I would sometimes get payouts over a dollar on comments back when STEEM was well below where it is now. SO I can definitely agree that commenting is a good way to earn but also to gain attention from the right people if you do it correctly (more than just a few words in the comment).

I've been earning pretty decent money this way since my first month here and some days I earned more commenting than authoring. And of course if you leave a good comment then that person is somewhat likely to go check out your profile...

I think that just goes to show that most people who upvote comments do not pay a whole lot of attention to rep score.

If the comment is something that intrigues people and adds to the conversation/post, they will upvote it.

Thank you for adding perspective and your experience in commenting @cryptokeepr, I'm new to Steemit and it helps to hear someone else confirm the content in the post

That's true. I have slept over the night and woke up to see people's signature on on blog. When I check out, there are people I leave comments on their post.

NEW Exchange! Opens in a few days! The next Binance! http://upcoin.com/?ID=ce32d476

Another benefit is gaining quite a bit more followers. I have not done any study, but I am pretty sure that commenting gains me a ton more followers than posting articles on my own blog. I also tend to find more people that I want to follow. I'm not sure there is any direct payout effect from followers, but they do seem to add to the conversation.

I would tend to agree with you @diggndeeper.com

There is no doubt commenting gets on recognized...also by some bigger fish. A bran new person most likely isnt going to interact with a dolphin on the new person's post. However, when one comments, the chances of interacting with someone like that goes up greatly (and gaining an upvote and follower).

For some reason people still are fixated in gifting their time and talents to that creepy creature named Zuckerberg... haha. Great post Task! I wish I had more time to write here on Steemit, I love it and the money is great too!

Yeah well you do a lot of your kind of "writing"...that code stuff takes a lot of time....especially when something crashes....

I look forward to the update on the update...hopefully that clears up the problem....I was so excited for the update and poor, my app was zapped (and not in a zappl way either).

Coinmarketcap should send you a thank you note...their clicks have to be up the last 24 hours since I am hitting their site ever 47.28 seconds.

I’ve done this too. I think I earned more commenting than posting. I also gained more followers fast by commenting.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Commenting with a worthwhile intelligent response is the key to early success on Steemit.

This is the grind, and those without deep pockets will almost certainly have to do this to both build relationships/followers, and gain those early SP prizes.

Your level of commenting is out of the ordinary and when compared to the average it is streets ahead. And so, this figure is huge and indeed I am looking at a quarter of this total for the past 7 days. Saying that, this is still in my opinion, an epic financial result which brings more than just that to both your content, and the platform.

Paid to engage, what could be easier! :D

Paid to engage

I think that should be the new Steemit it motto @abh12345.

I guess I should have been clearer about post like I do...I was referring to the number of comments not so much the number of words. A new person could easily make a couple hundred well written comments a week when first starting out. There are times "conversations" take place within the comment section which adds to it.

I hope you are still enjoying yourself.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

ahh! I'm with you now :)

I'm rested but clearly not up to full speed again yet!

Get paid to engage

Why not :)

Well i'm back at base in Mallorca, so I'll be around more while I plan the next adventure. Thanks for asking, and have a great week!

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ (edited)

Hi! @abh12345

I really agreed with you on this

Commenting with a worthwhile intelligent response is the key to early success on Steemit.

The best way is to drop a comment in relation to the understanding of the topic of discussion in a post. Quality comment does it all.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

They sure do, thank you :D

As a newcomer it can be a bit overwhelming just starting out xD

Commenting with a worthwhile intelligent response is the key to early success on Steemit.

Couldn't have worded it any better.
I always make sure to comment when an opinion worth saying or with something that I would like to express to the writer of the post.

Thank you for your tips.

I think the problem is people think they should just get money for free. It takes hard work. Making abgood comment is no different. You have to find post you are interested in read them then think and write a creative comment. This post is very motivating in that money can be made if you work at it. Thanks for the encouragement

Yes it does take hard work...although I find posting to be easier than many of the jobs I had in the past, especially part time ones.

But you are right, it isnt a situation where you put up a post and people hand you hundreds of dollars right off the bat.

It takes consistent effort and dedication.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ (edited)

Appreciate the guidance. I'm the new kid on the block (chain) and am absorbing all that I can in good solid advice. I try to make appropriate and well thought out comments. Even with what little exposure I've had, I can tell it makes a real difference. I've noticed, too, that posts such as yours that deal with steemit in a myriad of ways seem to get noticed and read and commented upon. I must also say that one quickly learns to foster relationships with persons such as yourself... not only to gain knowledge but to become active in an enclave or community within steemit. In my mind I picture the totality of steemit as an energy but within this metropolis of light I see smaller communities, villages, enclaves that are creating and developing their own energy and light. That seems to me to be what you are doing. So, in other words, I go to the light. BECAUSE I think this post is valuable to those within my own very small gathering (can't call us a village yet) I am RESTEEMING.

$230 is a whooping sum by any stand. It takes an average of 2hours to write a good post and receive good upvotes.

But you can do that with a comment and earn the same through comments.

I am currently talking about the power of commenting in my #minnowsbible series, I will resteem this to show my followers what is possible with comments..

You have a great mind to do work
Thanks for sharing your ideas you do it with a great effort
I also drop comment on a great content and valueable post
My first priority is to learn new thing and second is earn so i follow some good steemers which have aaaaa great blog and always share good and informative contents
You are also from them having a good blog
Keep it up I wish you all the best stay happy

Adding a quality comment to a good post is always a good idea....it is also a way to "thank" the writer for putting together the post.

Yes I am doing this And i will try to make it better because it our responsibility to appreciate those who has a good contents and doing good work for the steem community

I believe everything we do on here has an impact. Anything of quality helps move this site forward and has a compounding effect.

A comment helps to lengthen a post which will help the Google rankings. Also, someone could pull up the post down the road and learn something from the comment. We also gain followers which can help out own posts. Finally, any money we receive can be powered up and help each person we upvote.

It all compounds upon itself.

I can recall in my early steemit days when my comments were earning MORE than my actual posts.

I still have some comments earning well, but it varies from day to day.

I used to have a weekly earnings quota I wanted to meet and when I surpassed $25/week, I set the level to $50/week... I have stopped with meeting my quota and focus on not only quality content but also quality comments. There is a difference and I am THRILLED to see how many members have taken comments more seriously. I wrote a post just last week about how steemians are commenting...and MAKING real comments; no drive-bys and how spam is becoming less and less.

I can recall in my early steemit days when my comments were earning MORE than my actual posts.

And that makes sense.

To start, when we are new, we are not known so our posts are floating around unattached. They do not get any views. However, by commenting, we are relying on the author's following.

Also, we usually do not attract people with much SP when we first start. In the comment section, you find all kinds of SP there. It helps to be where the heavy hitters are.

I monitor closely how I am doing by regularly checking in steem.supply and I average abouy 17-23 comments a day outside of replies I do on my posts.

I make an average if $1 per comment and it had reflected the highest that can remember at $103.

So I am proof that it is possible to engage the community and be rewarded for it.

My mindset has always been comment on topics that I am interested in. I comment from minnows to whales and best case scenario if I do a good comment is to get an upvote and get that person interested in my posts, maybe even gain a follower.

Worst case would be I am ignored. So either way there is more to gain in commenting well.

Engagement is key to success.

You wrote quality comments @maverickinvictus ever since you started appearing in the comment section of my blog. Right off the back, you jumped in and posted stuff that added to the conversation. This is something that we need a ton more of on this site. The average post gets 2.5 comments or something. That is very poor. Granted many posts are not worthy of many comments but that is another problem altogether.

If we had 5,000 more people like you posting around 20 comments a day, that would really push this site forward.

Thanks Taskmaster indeed it was a skill that I learned on my 2nd month that is necessary for growth and creating connections.

When you silo yourself to your region you miss out on a lot of good content and people out there.

I have always been an adventurer and I see posts of other people as a good way of making my mark and maybe even create a deep meaningful connection.

This is one of the necessary skills that we are teaching teh people in @steemitfamilyph to engage the community and other people.

Engagement is key to success.

Engage with other Steemians by commenting!

"Anyone with under 500 SP should be using this approach."

This should be in every beginners Guide to Steemit.

I know from @abh12345's stats that I don't comment as frequently as you, but I have focused somewhat on commenting and make anywhere from 1-3 SBD (and corresponding SP of course) each day. So probably 15 or so SBD per week. It's an easy, and for me anyway, enjoyable way to supplement what you get from posting. Thanks for the experiment and motivating me to up my commenting game!

It also helps to grow your following while growing your account. Not a bad way to do things.

Most all your comments in my posts warrant an upvote from me....you leave some interactive stuff.

I don't imagine there's any reason to comment otherwise. I mean sometimes there's little more to say other than "Nice job" - in which case I usually say nothing, and maybe just upvote. I rather think that comments should be interactive, and create a discussion.

And yes, the commenting also helps grow your account, which can't really be measured in terms of SBD, but is likely more valuable than the monetary rewards in the long term.

Wao! @taskmaster4450

This is really an eye opener. It is good to know that through commenting we have access to create good relationships in this community while earning also. Though it takes efforts to comment because it is expedient to read and understand a post before go ahead and drop good comment. I really buy the idea of comment alot because it has been helping me also. I will appreciate if you can as well point out some steemians that appreciate interactions on their posts in order to help the newbies.

Thanks for sharing this.

Regards @funkylove

In my case i earn about 17 to 22 USD per week through comments only. I am a participant in @abh12345 's weekly contest. This keeps me motivated to do more and also helps me earn some what more money. Comments can be rewarding sometimes, but most of the time it depends on how you manage to convince the author and some times luck can matter too.
If someone cannot invest on this platform then comments can help him build some reputation.

Great idea for an experiment. Thank you for conducting this as well as writing the results.

Steemit need more and deeper interaction, and less spammy/worthless comments. I hope your posts inspires many people to put more thought into their responses so that they can be rewarded and so that steem can become much stronger.

You are right @danpaulson.

With the amount of comments per post (under three) the site is in dire need of more commenting. The numbers are even worse if we took out all the spam bots that operate on here. I imagine we probably average about 1 comment per post, a comment made by a real person that is.

Thanks for this encouragement. The other day I posted a couple posts throughout the day which didn’t make much. The comments for that day were worth over $20.

I find the key for me is consistency. I’ve noticed it the other way- when people consistently comment on my posts, I notice them, perhaps go check out their page. I’m more likely to upvote someone’s comment who I see regularly on my page. And I notice people who I comment on regularly also upvote my comments more.

It’s not hard and it’s a great exercise for the brain to leave meaningful comments.

It’s called thinking and it’s a free built in service that is easy to use. And wow I get paid on steemit to do it! I’ll be sticking around πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

LOL I just wrote that in a comment to @preparedwombat.

I agree, consistency is the key. When one is always in your comment section, like you are in mine πŸ˜€, it is easier to remember people...

It also helps one to regularly get upvotes since authors should be upvoting quality comments.

This is very insightful and helpful as well & im certainly going to try it out.

I joined steemit in September but I only got active about 2 weeks ago and I see lots of great potential in building up relationship with people from all walks of life and also earn steem in the process.

My activities on Facebook have decreased as a result of my new interest on steemit. This is just kool and with patient and interest on the plartform we will all benefits.

Thanks for sharing I will definitely upvote and follow you

Welcome to the active realm.

And kiss FB good bye...you will find your experience on here is a whole lot more pleasurable...and productive.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

I am absolutely experiencing the pleasure ...lol when I get obsessed with something I go all in, the slightest chance i get if I'm not checking how the CMC is doing I'm on steemit. I'm loving it !
power to decentralisation ! power to the people! crypto is here to stay!

@taskmaster4450, thanks for rasing this important point.

I remember you had briefly touched on it in one of your previous blog posts. As a newbie, reading that felt like stumbling on gold.

In the past days that I have been on Steemit, I think I have earned more from comments and upvotes on other people's posts than on what I earned from making posts on my blog.

And like you said, ability to earn quality returns from comments depends on the commenter's reputation, the reputation of the Steemian who made the original post, who sees and upvotes the comments, time, and a couple of other factors.

For newbies like me, it certainly makes more sense to comment than struggle to make new blog posts.

I will try this technique more.

An excellent post. I have been working on interacting with the community over the past week, and I have been pleasantly surprised by the frequency and amount of upvotes my comments have received. Over the last 7 days rewards from comments have been 1.25 SBD + 0.30 Steem Power which is the equivalent of $7USD. This may not seem a lot but it is a good start as this is really my first week of commenting and I am really pleased with that. I am also enjoying being part of the community; where else can you get paid for having fun?

I definitely agree that commenting is the key to building the value of a Steemit account over time. At the outset, original blog posts sent out into the ether are unlikely to gain much attention, so the key to growing a new Steemit account (and following) is with comments. Sort of a grind at first, but it can become enjoyable if you follow the right people. :)

That being said, a newbie Steemian starts with 15 SP. As a result, due to the way the Steemit curation algorithm works, there is a very different economic result for someone commenting with 15 SP vs. someone commenting with 15,000 SP.

My account just hit the 30-day mark over the weekend, and I am now re-adjusting my strategy. Curation awards (i.e. comments) are much more powerful (potentially exponential in nature, as you have suggested before) the higher your SP. So I am not focusing as much on the $$$ payouts right now and focusing much more on building my SP on an exponential basis. From 15 SP to 150 SP, and from 150 SP to 1500 SP, and then from 1500 SP to 15000 SP.

Comments are not curation...curation is curation.

Getting an upvote on a comment is an author reward and that has nothing to do with your SP. If I upvote a comment or an article, the vote counts the same for the person (as long as the voting percentage is the same).

This strategy is for newer people. Curating is something that is not a great deal for anyone under 50K SP. Even the 15K you mentioned doesnt net a great deal in proportion.

This is really helpful for every minnow.. although i got to know about this about a week ago and it has been really helpful..
Thank you for sharing your testimony

This is so interesting! I've been seeing people around here saying this same thing. I wake up every morning and I write. I'm here because I want to help and inspire people. I don't get into all the bots and stuff and the economics. But I would like to do better. And jealousy certainly kicks in when I see newer people doing much better than me. I need to get out there and comment and interact more. I should probably be spending the same or more time commenting as I do actually writing. My writing takes two to three hours every morning. I like to do it organically. I'm not into the bots and all that.

I have, from the very beginning, found it important to comment on posts that I relate with. The only time I had issues with commenting was when I had bandwidth issues. Since then I comment as much as I can everyday, with my bandwidth on my mind, mind you.

A lot can be achieved on this site with just comments. I have made relationships through my comments, I have drawn some big names to my blog posts because of my comments.

One of the first things I did on discord was fill the column, ginabot provided in its settings page with names of people who I wanted to be notified about when ever they post.

The importance of comments can never be overemphasized. At the same time, writing comments that show interest in the article under discussion pays more than commenting because you are expecting an upvote. The difference is evident.

Two months ago I was having my first days in Steemit.

I would look at my posts on the $0.00 and then it hit me - Of course I earn absolutely nothing, nobody cares about me or knows me enough to come and actually read my stuff in a platform where new stuff is always getting produced.

Thus I set myself to comment 100 times per day, and to really spend all of my energy into it.

On my first day, I earned more than $10 USD and was thrilled. The next couple of days it really compounded, and I finished my week with $140 USD worth of SP.

I can attest that commenting works, as I have written plenty of times. It is the best and most effective way for newbies to grow their SP levels, rewards and followers.

I also, as promised, wrote a post on this topic, mentioning you and this post - my apologies for the cat with the cupcake pic, but I didnt found yours and thought that one would serve as well hehehehe.

Cheers

100 posts a day are a lot...but it is effective.

If one is serious about making some progress on here, in a rapid fashion, that is what is required.

You progress is evidence of that.

Looking forward to hear your thoughts on this new post!

Regards, @gold84

Thanks @gold84.

I will check it out and give an upvote when I get my VP back...I just nuked it on all these comments.

A lot of good ones today. I guess that was the point of the article. lol

I have seen people earned few votes of @gentlebot and @things-2 for interesting comments. Yes, one need few strategies for earning from comments similar as blogging. However, people with low reputation and SP holding, its better to comment on whale's/orca's post rather than writing a blog unless they think that they are prolific writers. It can be a good beginning. I request @taskmaster4450 to make another blog on strategies for writing comments from his experience.

Yes there are bots that go around and hit up comments randomly which is a great thing. I have gotten a few in my time on here...it is always exciting to get a few bucks when either of those two hit you up.

As for low SP people, even starting with Dolphin is a great place. Many dolphins upvote comments and have enough voting power to give a decent upvote.

I actually thought that you might be ill Task.

I'm glad you were just checking the system out.
There is so much quailty posts on Steemit, 10 upvotes a days is just not enough for us newbies.

Bring on that slider baby. I'll be one happy camper, in more ways than one, when that finally happens. Great post Task. 🎚

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

It is easy for you but it is so difficult for new steemians . Because our voting power is lowest and reputation power also. When we comment that many steemians comment also and give upvote in their own post. That is why most voting powered steemians will remain fast in ranking . Pulishers will give importance first comments. That is why it is so difficult for new steemians. If i do wrong, please forgive me.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

You've heard about piranhas, right? A single one cannot do anything that would help it survive, but a group of such creatures could be deadly! I too am a minnow at Steemit, but I have found some minnows like myself who are very much open to conversations and are consistent in checking out my posts, its not a "follow-me follow-you" kind of agreement, rather I would like to describe it as my Steemit Circle, where we help out each other.
Whales are real here, but a 1000 minnows combined could make a ripple here! What we have to do is set aside our differences and become one! Profit minded people can get lost, I'm here for Steemit, not money, I want to find more people who are like-minded. You should be like that too. Eventually minnows will grow! We will make our voices be heard!

What you describe @jaedea is what I posted a number of times where the balance of power is slowly shifting.

As more newer people get involved and start amassing SP, even though individually, it isnt much, collectively it does add up. When one has a following of a lot of people with lower SP accounts, progress is made in doubling each of those accounts. It takes time but one can go from 25-50...then to 100...and so on. With that, the VP increases in proportion.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

It seems so obvious to me, has been my strategy since day two. I didn't have a strategy on day one.

What do I have to offer on the blogging platform? Nothing that anybody knows about. NOTHING. That's not to say my writing isn't good or that my subject matter is awful. It's simply to say that nobody knows me.

How do I change that? Comment and engage. Thoughtful, germane comments are mana from heaven for a blogger. They tend to remember who made them.

I don't give a rip about rep but I do care about the people that I engage with. All the time.

Thanks for empirical proof. It's a soundly researched article, the very best kind.

You make a post about the most important topic on Steemit because many people wants to earn here but they didn't get the attention of beig members because of their new account and low steem power but commenting is the secret trick by which we can earn without posting and make very strong relationships of a writer and reader and whales always respect their true readers,so it's good to know that you make a post about this important point.πŸ˜‡

Imagine we went into a community and started selling something without growing a user-base or friend-circle, no one would actually give a damn to what you are doing ( except maybe a few ). But if you indulge in conversations and discussions with the community members and build a real following, then those people are going to support you and help you grow!
What a newbie should do first at Steemit is to create that support-base by interacting with the Steemit community. It doesn't matter if you post long articles in during your initial Steemit days, what had to done is to reach out to as much members as possible. One could find out an interesting topic here, share your thoughts in the comments, reply to people who you think you have an answer to.
Eventually we could see a follower base growth and then we can see votes coming into the posts/articles!

All great points. I dont know why people on here think it is any different. They arrive on STEEM and expect everyone to come rushing to them. They are baffled when their content gets no upvotes and wonder why.....well the fact you are here three minutes and have zero following might have something to do with it.

Over time, commenting is a great way to build that following and let others get to know you.

Excellent result! It's a good thing you did a real experiment. I also set myself a plan for the number of comments a day (I mean it was quality of comments, not "great"))). My husband says it's like I got a job)))) it is Necessary to look who from users you commented)

It is kind of like a job in the beginning...at least a part time job. However, compared to a lot of work out there, this is much better.

And the results can be there. It also has the effect of compounding the results one gets on the articles since more commenting tends to get more followers.

Yes, I agree. I think we need a balance between articles and comments. My SP is still small, not a lot of followers, especially with a lot of voice, so my articles don't get a lot of votes yet. So I allocate my time so - one article per day and a certain number of comments

you are right that this is a very decent way to earn money/SP.

I do have some things I'm really curious to know. So you have any idea how many comments you wrote? And how much time did it take?

My suggestion for users that try to earn via comments is to search for authors that regularly upvote comments below their own posts. And perhaps even more important follow and read stories you really like. Cause of you have fun, things are easy easier.

People really underestimate the power of quality comments. I did discuss this in how to create a healthy group of followers.
Due to the fact that I don’t any of my followers and the people I am following in real life, that the way to go!
Remember people this is not facebook, where a message like I’m going to sleep now will get you likes!
Here you try to build a community based on shared interests.

Building a community is the key idea.

And it takes time, effort, and consistency....something many overlook.

This is an important message to keep spreading.

Keep up the good work @fullcoverbetting.

I've definitely always made more from commenting than I have posting.... and that's because your articles were some of the first posts I read on the Steem Blockchain. I've also gained way more followers through comments than posts... which makes sense given that you can really only reach the people that already follow you with your posts.

Sometimes a whale will randomly upvote a comment I make, which can be several times the amounts I usually make on posts, but generally its a numbers game, lots of little upvote amounts.

Commenting to me is like a gold handed over to everyone. Apart from the monetary value, there's the relationship to earn and then knowledge to receive. I think my greatest achievement from comments is the knowledge received. Since I am the type that always read an article to the end, before commenting, it means I have to fully understand the premises that the author is writing from. I have learned a lots in the last one month from reading and commenting on posts. Thank you @taskmaster4450 for always sharing some tips with newbies to encourage them to succeed.

Magnificent article. You are absolutely right, you can and should earn money on the comments. I am obliged to share this article with my subscribers in the Ukrainian Discorte. Resteem.
Good luck to you and king regards.

Early on in my Steemit days I read about the importance of commenting, but I had trouble even finding posts I wanted to comment on or that I had value to add to the conversion. Just because you like a post, adding "great post" is probably worse than nothing at all in the long run.
However as I began to find people to follow with my interests, it not only became easy to comment honestly and with added value, it also became much more fun and engaging. It's the correspondence and meeting of new people that really makes Steemit an enjoyable place. Don't miss out on the best part!

That’s quite impressive. In addition to the quality of your comments, you’ve got volume on your side. In my case, I’ve never be a prolific writer. In my heart of hearts, I’m more of an editor than a writer.

Gotta work on that balance. 😏

The thing you do, in my view, @preparedwombat, is you make up for it with consistency.

That is also a huge factor on here. Haphazard posting or commenting isnt going to net someone much over time. It is the regular comment on an authors section, day in and day out, that catches one's eye.

This post should be mandatory reading for all new users who sign up. I get asked so many times by people how to get more upvotes on their posts and I always tell them to stop posting and start commenting!

Personally I love when people actually read my posts and write thoughtful replies. I always upvote those for a pretty good amount. Better comments would bring this platform to a whole 'nother level, in my opinion.

I wish there was a trending page specifically for comments!

I agree completely @yabapmatt.

There is so much to be gained for all by posting comments. Everyone benefits on many different levels.

Yet most new people want to put up an article and make the trending page. When that does not happen, they get frustrated and leave.

That is why I tried to quantify it some. Even if one gets 1/2 the results I get...even 1/3, for a newer person with no SP in their account, it is a great way to start it growing. Plus it will allow people to learn who that person is.

A trending page for comments...now that would be interesting.

I wonder how the commenting will change once the communities is implemented. I actually think it will create more interaction (or is that I am hopeful).

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

That would be a great idea @yabapmatt and that is supposedly what they must do. But charge to experience, Website owners don't reveal the tricks of the trade. It is always up to the users to explore the site or SteemIt on how he can benefit from it if the user has the enthusiasm and interest to explore more. But to some users who don't have this kind of mindset, they easily get discouraged and discontinue accessing the site.

But to those who have the patience and determination are always get rewarded :) Cheers!

Commenting is a fantastic way to build up some SP when just starting out here, when I have the time to create quality comments I am always rewarded. Even when we don't build votes, we build connections that might support us the entire time we are here, which could be more valuable than a bigger vote! People seem to forget that life is all about relationship, whether it's a quick relationship of discussing a post, or a lasting one where you discuss post after post and start talking on discord and learning about the person. Comment as often as you can!

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Thanks @taskmaster4450 for a great piece for us noobs. I have been at this about 2 weeks now and find commenting the most rewarding part of the platform so far. I have only posted three articles and yeah, it's a downer when they don't get recognition. But I have had some great conversations in the comments and have made a good contact with at least one person I feel a personal connection with. I hope to earn more as I go on but for now just building a community bis the greatest reward and comments seem to be the best for that.

Keep commenting @talltuk.

Over time, the commenting will help your posts since you will get people on your follow list. It all adds up.

Steem is a giant compounding system where everything builds upon everything else. Nothing happens in a vacuum on here.

One comment today could have significant impact on a post a week from now.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

I am and will continue. It's all about community at this point. Considering purchasing some Steemit to power up as I really enjoy upvoting others comments and responses. Thank you for your great writing as usual

I do not think anyone can go wrong purchasing some STEEM at these levels. This is not financial advice but I see STEEM much higher in the future.

Plus it does help your VP...

I couldn't agree more. I don't comment as much as I should be, but it does really provide extra income if your willing to put some thought into your comments. It's also not as easy to keep track of and I don't tend to look through my comments to see what has been upvoted. I like the surprise of getting the rewards when I'm not expecting it.

Yes it is something that few ever track. I know I did not although steem.supply does have a section to tell where one stands with it. To be honest, I only gave that a glancing look.

Actually writing down what was coming in was very informative. It helped me to realize how this works. There are lots of small upvotes....a number of middle of the road ones....and I got a couple nice hits..

Like anything else, it is all about the law of averages....posting many quality comments means that some big fish could possibly see it.

I might try and keep track of it a little bit more now that I really think about it. I know there have been quite a number of times where I check my wallet and I notice I've got an extra few SBD to claim in between post payouts. I didn't even bother to check what comments they came from, but I will probably start now.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Awesome experiment.

I try to follow your guidance or instructions, whatever you call it, about comments. I can't say I have earned 25SP, but whenever I am regular, I have seen that I earn at least 5-6 SBD in a week, even more I think. Given my relative inexperience and low rep to start with, I think that's quite good.

In fact comments kept me alive for the first few weeks and had it not been for comments, I think it would have been much more difficult for me to maintain the motivation and focus. The initial earnings from comments gave me the impetus that I needed. And off course, comments gave me most of my followers.

Thanks for this awesome advise which I discovered pretty early in my Steemit journey.

And your rep is getting higher. Every upvote adds to it...even in comments.

You will soon be in the 50s with your rep.

As for the return, 5-6 SBD is $25-$30 in a week..just for leaving comments on a website...not a ton of money but more than those people on Facebook are making.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Absolutely agree, who would pay me a penny for doing anything on FB unless I run a business there?

And even then, many who run businesses on Facebook dont make any money.

On here, someone can make money the first day by posting comments. It might not be a ton but it is most likely more than FB or YouTube paid.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Yes, though my earnings are pretty low as of now, I have earned here much more than the blogs I used to write and got paid in pennies through Google Adsense.

I am confident that I will be able to increase my earnings over the comings weeks and months. The system works like compound interest, earnings should ideally keep increasing for a long time to come. Hoping for the best :)

The system works like compound interest, earnings should ideally keep increasing for a long time to come.

This is the golden nugget@svkrulze that most many miss. Everything we do on here does compound. One should make more the second month than the first....and even more the third than the second.

As long as the activity is consistent and the focus remains the same. Each SP that goes into ones account makes the VP worth more. This gives one greater impact on the entire ecosystem. A rep of 25 a month ago is now 45...an account of 15 SP is now 40 SP...etc...

Plus we get the compounding effect from the growth of the steem blockchain itself.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ (edited)

Did you by chance record how much time you spent commenting? I think that would be a cool number to have too!

That would be an interesting addition although impossible since I am always all over the place doing different things. I go through fits and spurts with it.

At times I will post comments and then flip to researching my next article.

So there is no rhyme or reason to it in the regards you are referring.

I can tell you it is a fair bit of time.

I flip flop too by placing reading articles in-between work and things of that nature. It would be an extreme pain just starting a timer and stopping it over and over while working and commenting.

I'm only averaging about 5-10 SBD payouts from comments which is about 1-3 SBD final payouts. But yep it really is recommended for anyone below 500 SP to be commenting quality comments on posts.

Thanks for sharing, I get so caught up with just trying to come up with a good post that I do not take the time to scroll through the feeds and leave comments. Maybe I am just being too lazy. plus, unless it's just me but I have a hard time finding any posts that interest me to comment about.

Nicely done! It's true, many people starting out underestimate the value of a good, meaningful, and on-topic comment. Especially with the amount of spam and circle jerk that has been plaguing the site of late. I've been here for well over a year and don't post very often at all. A couple posts I had did really well, but now I continue to get more followers, and rewards almost exclusively just from curating/leaving comments.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

I only have a rep of 44, and have been on Steemit for a little over a month, but (thanks in part to @taskmaster4450's advice previously), have earnt some money through commenting - which also adds to your reputation score.

But I don't see commenting as a money making exercise, and I don't think others should either - it's not particularly healthy for the community. Yes, one of the side-benefits is earning some extra money, but it shouldn't be your only reason.

Adding something of value to the post you're commenting on comes first. A one-liner, copy/paste comment adds nothing and shouldn't be rewarded. And that seems to be the case, thankfully - but it doesn't stop a lot of people from trying.

For me, trying to make new connections is the reason for commenting. I want to build an audience on Steem, not make a quick $ for posting a comment.

Wow! Thank you for this self-competition!

I'm a Newbie on STEEMIT but realized very fast, that comments and interaction is the only way to success... and not in fact of the success, more in fact of the community ans building relationships to other freeminded Steemians in my case...

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Where did I accumulated my SBDs? Through commenting here on Steemit. I search on how to get more SBD's here on SteemIt and the result is always through commenting. Yes, it is through commenting I get my SBDs and SPs and also through commenting I make friends. But you will leave quality and related to the topic comments if not then no one will upvote. This is very true what @taskmaster4450 saidthat through comments, you can accumulate lots of SBDs and SPs.

If no one upvotes your comments, don't be discourage. Find it out why your comments don't get upvoted. Is it a quality comment? Is your comment related to the topic? If you identified the problem then change your style of commenting and in the end, you will be rewarded. I said this because I've experienced this. Just keep on commenting (good, quality and related to the topic comment) and you will be rewarded.

It might be just that many do not upvote comments....it is sad and the subject of an upcoming post.

But as you mentioned, ongoing questioning and analysis is a good thing....see where one can improve what is being done on here.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

That is also one of the discouraging part. There are many who don't upvote comments. They are happy that somebody and someone leave a good comment on their post but tend not to share the love by upvoting it. Well maybe all of us have experienced this I guess. I can understand to the user that really has no SP but to those who have bigger SPs, they can help minnow by just upvoting their comments.

Me if I have an ample amount of SP, I could help a lot of minnows. But what can I do because I am also a minnow with less SP. That is why I'm very grate to people like you @taskmaster4450 who is helping minnows by giving upvotes and spreading the love :) Cheers @taskmaster4450

Dont feel bad...those same people wont upvote a dolphin either.

Some just dont upvote comments...no matter who leaves them. It is sad but that is how some are. Yet you go to the next article and some heavy hitter will give a quality comment a 50% or 100% upvote.

There is no way to tell other than just keep commenting. Some will some wont...so what....

Just go onto the next one.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Yeah .. that is why I always Keep Moving Forward .. thanks my friend :)

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

I am a minnow and I upvote good comments on my posts between about 5%-30%. I do this to reward people for commenting on my posts. I started as soon as I got a 1 cent vote and I plan to continue. I taught my son, @bxlphabet to do this too, even with his small vote.

I know my comment upvoting gives me better interaction and that people return for this reason. Generally, my posts have good interaction. Although I am not giving out fat votes, I feel like it is a good use of my voting power. I have no idea if I would do better in rewards if I upvoted more posts than comments.

I'm sad that you are telling people to comment on the big guys because I know I have a good comment upvote in the scheme of things around here.

I know this because I also comment on interesting posts many times per day. I do get large votes at times as you mention, but that has been rare lately. I was going to write a post to ask people if they upvote the comments they get and why or why not.

I'm still going to continue with this comment upvoting and posting lots of comments no matter what. I look at @penquinpablo steemit reports and see most posts get less than 3 comments. So I feel like I am helping that statistic on both ends of it.

The stats are pretty sad of the number of comments. I see the same numbers...under 3 per post.

Granted some posts are simply not worthy of comments since they are not quality posts. Yet if you look at the averages, this article got over 150 comments today, it is rather poor. There are many articles where there are one or two comments only.

It is time that we all up our game in this area. Many, like yourself, are already doing it....we need to somehow take it to the masses.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

I just went to look at my steemnow comment payouts. I guess I am doing more than I thought!

This snippet shows about 1/2 of the day from a week ago. I have other days like this and some with much less. I do not track my comment payouts vs how many I make, but I'm sure I must have made more than this and not gotten rewarded.

comment payouts.PNG

The top reward is for a comment on @zer0hedge, which often pays well.

This is not a poor post - it is a critically needed bit of info for minnows and for big guys. The more our Alexa drops, the more engagement matters to get us an even better ranking. The comments in the @penguinpablo reports includes bot comments, so the engagement part of the deal is even worse than it looks.

And thank you for your comment upvote today. This is very much appreciated :)

You are welcome...

Yes you are doing well....obviously having something to say is crucial to quality posts...they cant be forced....

And a lot depends upon the people you are posting under....some, even heavy hitters, simply do not upvote comments. It astounds me but that is the case. Others hit up most everything.

The only thing we can do is to keep commenting away.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

I do look posts to see if people upvote, but I mostly comment just because I do have something to say. I see some of those big guys not upvoting also. I know certain people that never even reply to their comments so I shy away for the most part.

In general - interacting with whales has done nothing for me, so I normally do not even read their posts. I tried when I first got here, but it it hard to stand out in 100's of comments that are already upvoted by many people in the first minutes.

I have a few friends who use the "sucking up to whales" strategy and all all doing much better than me, but I don't have the energy for that.

It mid-level folks give better results in every way I know.

Even though I try to comment on every post from the people I follow I don't think I've ever come close to 25 SP per week. It is true that I don't follow a ton of people but I have formed a relationship with those I do and some of them are heavy hitters.

Maybe add it up one week like I did....see what it adds up to.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Over the last 7 hours I have read your post 4 times. I have gone over and over the principles you have applied. I even considered your level to mine and the results. The only issue/question I could not justify to your post results was " Post like I normally do" and who and what you made comments on. (answered in your response to comments).
Being 3 weeks into Steemit there is so much I do not know. The knowledge that I have attained has come directly from the community. Like this post.
I comment way more then I post. I seen this in different posts/ comments. ( I wonder where I got that info from).
You broken this down with your experiment in an understanding manner. It is a question that I had without a verified answer. One that I and many others do not have the ability to execute.

Comment on quality posts with a quality comment and success will be your reward

Thank you for taking the time to experiment on this subject.

I'll be resteeming this for sure! Also, what kind of commenting did you do--was it commenting on comments, or commenting on posts, and what level of posts? Was it random comment curation, or did you have a science to it?

It was both commenting on articles and other comments. At times I would have "conversations" with people in comment sections, other times simply a comment to the author.

Many were comments in my own comment sections by people who commented to me although most of them do not upvote comments....the topic of another upcoming piece. Dolphins and Orcas tend to do this.

I have no science...I am more a haphazard type of commenter...if I see something that strikes me, I post a comment....whether it is an article or a comment.

Both have the same impact expanding the comment section of an article which aids all involved.

So are you saying you earned this on your comments alone, or was this the total earnings including what commenting did to bring traffic to your posts?

I would write many comments, but I do not have enough voice to vote for all posts. It seems to me not very good to just write comments without voting for an article. All those who write here are hoping to get an increase in their posts. Or do you think that this is not so?

That is true but I will tell you most of the authors making some decent money read comments without looking at the voting. I cant tell you if you upvoted this post or not..I didnt even look. I might if you upvoted yourself $2 or $3 but outside that, it means nothing.

I understand what you are saying but keep commenting. Many articles need comments as much as they need upvotes. Often a article, one without comments, will die a quicker death.

I always support all the articles that I comment on. Thank you for persuading me to write more comments. Now I will not hesitate to write a comment without a vote, I hope this will change my indecisive character).

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ (edited)

Resteemed! Thanks for the informative post and stats you came up with. I also appreciate that you tried making it a controlled experiment without too many variables, so someone newer like me might be able to get a better sense for numbers. Quality comments over quantity is the biggest factor. I've seen way too many spam responses on certain posts and then have to sift through them for quality comments and info on the topic. Cheers!

You are welcome @scryffy23.

Spamming never gets anywhere. It only muddies the comment section which tends to upset the authors. Some will even go on flagging sprees.

Quality is always at the core of what we do...or should be. Naturally, this is a relative term but we should seek to add as much as we can to each post with out comments. Thoughtfulness is a big part of it.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Wow, that is quite impressive! I try to comment when I can, but I only do it if have something to say... lol. I think the other benefit that is almost as important as the payout factor is the visibility factor for us noobs. Without commenting no one is ever going to find your content on here. I think that engaging with the community is the only way to be seen in the beginning when you have little Steem power like I do! Looks like ill have to try to up my game a bit :)

On Steem commenting is most definitely a viable business model.

At least for those who do make an effort and try to add value with their comments. There’s enough low-level content already which gets rewarded richly. Commenters need to go the distance.

Those who do tend to be richly rewarded. Many may often make more from commenting than they do from their own blog, because no following/community needs to be cultivated to benefit visibility.

Only quality content/comments are required.

This is a great point and something I tell a lot of my clients who I've introduced to Steemit. Add value at first by taking part in the discussions!

What's sad, I've found that people don't have the patience to actually follow through with that. Spend a month and actually get to know the inner works of this place and comment to add value.

It works! And in no means am I getting 250 bucks from commenting, but I do see a big upswing when I take the time and comment with thoughtful things and add to the discussion! Great post and something all Steemians should practice.

It never fails @jongolson.

We take the time to read and post thoughtful comments about what the author wrote and we will get rewarded. Not on every comment, but, on average, we will get our fair share.

Also, since so few seem to do this regularly, it is how one can stand out. I know I remember the ones who are commenting on each of my posts on a daily basis.

Really good point there....

Also, since so few seem to do this regularly, it is how one can stand out. I know I remember the ones who are commenting on each of my posts on a daily basis.

That's a great way to stick out from the noise for sure. I'm writing that one down under 'things to do daily on Steemit' for sure. :) Thanks again for the tips.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Very useful article. Especially for beginners.

I started on here not long ago and definitely experience that the best part of being on here is getting to interact with authors in the comments. Also other commentators. I've made what I think will be some lifelong friends among both.

It's also fun to interact in the comments section on my own posts, but here's the thing: you can actually get more meaningful conversations going more often in the comment feed on someone else's post.

Think about it. For your own post, you wrote this long article and now someone replies. Well if they take the time to leave a meaty reply that stimulates a new thought in you, you can get a meaningful conversation going between the two of you. But if they just leave "nice post," well you aren't going to really be able to write much in reply.

Contrast that with commenting on someone else's post. They've written this meaty article and now it is up to you whether you leave a meaningful reply. If you do, well maybe the author replies in kind or not, but at least you've left the door open to that. This is how I've started making friends on here and what I truly love best about Steemit.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ (edited)

Wooooooowwwwww!

I'm certainly gonna try this out.

Time for me to add to my list.
Just when I couldn't thank you @taskmaster4450 for your upvotes, coupled with the upvotes I still get from @tarazkp, @tolkatore @hitmeasap, @lyndsaybowes @abh12345, @hilarski and a lot more, I'm grateful to you guys..

You guys are the real MVP.

Thanks for sharing such an informative post. Would surely check your comment section and try them out

images.jpeg

Can I get an upvote for this comment? πŸ˜„ Just kidding. It is so good to see some solid numbers of this to prove that interaction is the key to Steemit growth. Do you comment only on posts from accounts you follow, or posts on the trending page, or anywhere specific?

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

This post has been resteemed and upvoted. I also started following you to see more of your work.

I need to learn how to raise my rep score. Curating thoughtful comments and content is very important to me. It seems I am having a really hard go at it, being here over a year, and always trying to not post throwaway comments. I just recently tried playing around with fonts and photos to see if that will help in followers and upvotes of content, but no luck so far. Thank you for sharing your success.

The way to help your rep score is to post quality...quality comments and articles. Without a following the articles might not garner a ton of attention. Hence commenting is a way to go.

Fonts and gifs are nice but tend not to help. I dont use them for the most part. Post a quality comment that adds to the article and/or stimulates conversation...that will get you upvotes which will help your rep score.

I recently had the opportunity of speaking with a Whale in person, and that was the exact thing he told. Apart from the monetary rewards that come with commenting, it is the easiest way to getting noticed, and being absorbed into reputable communities here on Steemit.

Your advice is valid, and I will take that approach.

I will follow this and start commenting on more and more posts. Thanks.

What? I gotta start commenting, I find 25 sp difficult to make in a month πŸ€‘

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ (edited)

commenting is what makes the post interesting.. and what keep steemians motivated. It makes them sort of proud of themselves for a job well done creating a post that makes somebody interested enough to leave a comment... I would love to see comments below my posts even if the people doing so didn't upvote my post..though it'll be a lot better if they so :D

Β  Β· Β 6 years agoΒ

Thanks for this information, it helped me a lot to understand the comment part of steemit and also motivate me to commend more on post and I do mean writing useful and quality. Just a Question, how much times a day did you commend?

50 SP a week is a lot. I'd probably have to make like 3,000 comments to pull that off. lol

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Commenting IS the way to go in getting to know people here anyway. That's how I made friends and got their attention to help me. And I did it in a totally non-douchey way.

Inspired by your post! I have been here for about 2 months and since I dont have much time to post on my blog every day, I focus on making relevant comments to add value to posts I see on my feed or newly posted blogs. I plan to be consistent with this approach and hope to capture the attention of key players.

You have to work hard , anyone can do it . I used to spend day and night on this platform and made 100s in jsut a week. It just takes time and dedication

Very true @taskmaster commenting on posts really goes a long way. It helps one to understand the working dynamics of the community and is a nice way to grow and interact in steemit. Thank you so much for such detailed explanation

wow, you are really good! Im not a big talker, so my comments are usualy very short :D I enjoy work with hands more :) but maybe I should start commenting more and get better! thanks for this post!

You are absolutely right. Commenting is what I've been doing from the start and it seems to have worked the way you described. Commenting online is what I've been doing for 25 years. It's second nature to me and a fun activity. That's what people should be doing here. There is little chance to forge relationships here without commenting.

Still learning. Went back to edit original comment and then to resteem. Would not let me resteem so now with this comment I am going to do that.

I have been busying my buns making posts and comments . Right now i am making about $20 a week. I mean i really get in there and talk to people, reply to everything. A lot of my comments are shorter but some are novels. Does your own voting power effect your payout?

It's true what you say, I also feel compelled to upvote and support people who post meaningfull comments on a regular basis.

I feel like doing this experiment myself now!

Still clueless how to adjust parameters such as the %, Steem Power etc in the wallet page.
Some days, my comment can get a good price like 11 cents, or usually 1 cent. If you can help me understand how to adjust Steem, Steem Power, SBD, % would be mightily helpful! And sure will help others too.

Not hard to imagine, actually. To me, a comment on my blog is worth far more than an upvote - it lets me know people actually care and are reading what I'm writing. The things it does for networking are insane.

I am stepping up my commenting starting right now! Thanks very much for the advice, I learned a long time ago to learn from those who know. As a new kid on the blockchain, I'll take all the good advice I can get.

Good reminder for me :-) thank You !
i enjoyed reading your post.jpg

Hey @taskmaster4450,
You gave me another reason to stay positive,it really boost my enthusiasm to stay hopefully and persistent.hopefully one day I could be able to make that many bucks too. Thank you for encouragement.

There are a lot of reasons to be positive about the STEEM blockchain...so much going on...so many opportunities....all compounding to our advantage.

@taskmaster4450, you captioned my thoughts in your introduction to this post. Feeling lost in the sea of whales and dolphins. I'll take your advice and begin with building relationships.

Thank for sharing this.... Atleast you have brought some of us with the mindset of no comment then no comment, no upvote then no upvote to the light of how all this things works and pays.... I think I have to start commenting on people's post as from today... Or what do u think? 😁😁😁😁

It is useful information, I will try to work with it, but to make money to work is beneficial to everyone, thank you, my friend worth pursuing @taskmaster4450

That was also my approach. It seems common sense to me. Follow people with similar interests and comment their posts. With time the follow back turns natural and genuine, not forced.

Amazing post.
This very helpful.i appreciate your every post.

Resteemit.

this is a good post... thanks for sharing.

Hey man, I am confused.

You said you only posted comments, but how so? You always seem to make posts everyday?

Or do you mean the total votes received on your posts?

Ha! I think you commented on me too. Maybe I am wrong though, but that Kittie certainly reminds me of something. If not, you are welcome to comment on my latest post. I promise I will upvote it It's true though, steemit comments are one of the easiest and fun ways to make money. :D
