Hello everyone.
this time I want to show you all a handcrafted home made from ice cream sticks.
if you want to make a house like this, look at the tutorial :
How to Make a House of Ice Cream Sticks
Making a home from an ice cream sticks is a fun and simple activity. You can build a house with a variety of ways. However, we found that the best way is to start building four rectangles and sticking the sticks to the wall. After that, you can build a roof by attaching two triangles. Then, stay the nicest part, ie decorate it as you wish.
1
Collect all necessary equipment. You need about 100 or more ice cream sticks to buy at a craft store or at a convenience store. You also need glue. The best option is hot shot guns, but in its use children should be supervised by adults. Also prepare paper, scissors, and cutter knives.
If you do not want to use hot fireproof glue, just use ordinary wood glue for crafts.
Be careful always when using a hot fireproof because it can make skin burn.
2
Spread the newspaper or brown paper to the base. Since you will use glue, it is best to cover the work surface with a newspaper, disposable cloth, or material that can protect the surface.
Hot shot guns are difficult to remove from the surface. So, be careful. Hot shot guns are also easily dripped from the gun so always place a glue gun in a place where the surface is closed.
3
Form four rectangles with ice cream sticks. Put two sticks in parallel with the long distance of the stick. Put the next two sticks over the first two sticks to form a rectangle. Give glue to every corner. Repeat this step to create three remaining rectangles.
All these quadrangles will be the walls of the house.
4
Glue another stick to cover the rectangular frame. Place the rectangular frame horizontally, row the sticks sufficiently to cover the entire frame. Glue the two opposite sides of the rectangle and place the stick there. Repeat this step to complete the four walls of the house.
Glue the stick tightly so that there are no gaps in the wall.
There is a possibility that the last gap is too narrow for a stick. Use a cutter knife to trim it to fit the last place.
Make Roof Home
1
Make an initial frame. Take three sticks and form a triangle by stacking the ends of each stick on top of each other. No matter which stick is above. Use a dab of glue to glue all corners. Repeat the same process to create the remaining triangle. [1]
This basic roof uses only two triangles as a support, but you can make a more stable roof by creating a third triangle that will be installed between the first two triangles.
2
Place a number of sticks horizontally to create the first side of the roof. Give glue on each end of the stick. Glue the triangles perpendicularly over the first side of the roof. Repeat this process until all sides of the triangle are covered. Glue stick tightly. Hold each stick in place for at least 5 seconds to glue firmly.
Place each stick carefully into the triangular frame so that the glued stick position has not changed before.
3
Put the second roof set. In the same way as the first roof side, put glue on the stick for the second side of the roof. Proceed carefully so that you do not damage the pre-installed sticks.
4
Close the roof that is still open. Now you have an open roof frame on either side. As an additional option, you can close the interior of the roof completely. Starting from the bottom of the roof, glue the sticks on the triangle frame. The more to the top of the roof, the size of the stick will be smaller so you have to cut the sticks on the part of the increasingly conical triangle.
Closing the roof completely will add a real impression on the house ice stick because that's the real home.
Home Assemble
1
Cut the part that will be the window. If you want to make a more realistic home, you can cut one or two windows on the wall. This step is easier to do before all the walls are put together. Take a cutter knife and make a 2.5 x 2.5 cm rectangle carefully on one wall or more. [2]
The window can be in the middle or at the edge of the wall.
To make the home sticks more beautiful, you can use the remaining pieces of the stick to make the shutters or kosen.
2
Cut the wall to make the door. House sticks will increasingly look like the original house with the addition of doors. The size of the ice stick you use determines how big the door is. Make the size of the door high enough to width about ⅓ width of the house. Cut the door with a cutter knife.
To make a door leaf, you can paste a cardboard the size of a door at the end of the opening. Fold one side of the cardboard to glued to the wall to look like a real door that can be opened and closed.
3
Glue the entire wall. Take two walls and build them so that the sticks are in a vertical position. Line the glue along the inside end of the stick. Glue the wall to the section by gently pressing it. Hold for about 30 seconds until the glue tightens. [3]
Install the remaining two walls to complete the basic structure of the house.
4
Install the roof at the top. Give glue to the top of the wall, ie at the end of each stick. Glue the roof to the wall and gently press for a few seconds until the glue is firmly sealed. You may also leave the roof separate and not tape it to the wall of the house. That way, you can put the furniture in it.
5
Decorate the house. You have an unlimited choice of decorating it. Use spray paint to color the whole house in one color. Or use a small brush to paint the walls in one color and the roof with other colors. Glue cloth or wrapping paper to make the wall pattern. You can also paste moss, flowers, or sticks to give the impression of a house in the woods.
just this is enough explanation from me about tutorial how to make a house from ice cream sticks,
thank you..
