in steemfield •  6 years ago

The official proposal has been selected from the eligible pool of proposals from the results post. Thanks to all players that contributed to these proposals. The following proposal has been selected based on the selection rules. All players now have the next 24 hours to voice their vote in favor or against the proposal.

@kipswolfe proposes:

An Addition to Voting and Proposals:

The player whose proposal passes during a round gets 1 LAND given to them from the totem.

All players can vote by either responding to this post with a {YES} or a {NO} somewhere in their comment. Players may change their votes until the end of the 24 hour period, but can only vote once. If there is more voting power in favor of the rule than against, it will pass!

I don't think it's double-dipping. I think the person who comes up with a meaningful proposal should be able to earn some LAND. And with the LAND burning, there's only so much LAND you want to burn -- especially when you consider how close the scores currently are. But it would be definitely of interest to someone with this rule in effect.

Hmmm, the burning LAND to ger your proposal accepted is something I hadn't actually thought about. So, you'd burn your LAND, your proposal gets accepted, you get your LAND back (if you only burn one).

I'm staying with yes. Maybe it's not a good idea, but maybe it will be. I think it will be interesting.

{YES}

Better make sure the proposal is a good one. The other thing this does in the current state is allow new players to catch up since they have less accepted proposals under their belt. On the other hand, with the land burning rule they can perpetually create new proposals until the land runs out. But either way I'm going to just uh... Vote yes on it. Just because.

This seems a bit like double-dipping to me.
