Alright, this may not be everyone’s cup of tea but to end this week of eco-houses with, how about a fully recyclable, of course, cardboard house which comes even with a mezzanine.

By which I don’t mean an album by Masive Attack.

Everything in this house is made to be both minimal and functional. It even makes use of Velcro as well.

But 6 hours only, if you are a LEGO and IKEA pro, and you’re set!

The roof is waterproofed with an HDPE plastic coat [ugh], which is also used for water tanks saved under the house.

Designed by renowned Australian Peter Stutchbury and the Housing Research Unit at University of Sydney, the cardboard house could have been an ecological solution for emergency housing or could now be picked up again in this “tiny house” era.

Yet at AU$ 39,000 it sits at the higher end for both options.

Oh, my God, we can make a house on the card board! Even though I saw VR goggles, chairs, and furniture using card boards, I never dreamed of making them home. The imagination of human beings seems great. If rain-resistant coatings are worn on the roof and made of materials that can withstand fire, they can be conveniently used when home is needed.

Damn. Almost looks better than most modern houses I have come across, a bit squeezed on space, but I could totally see myself buying one if I had the courage to live in one, well, alone mostly..Great Hunt Hunter ;)

Wow, incredible material. Nothing common cardboard as the main material for buildings of such magnitude.

Congratulations! Your hunt has been reviewed and approved! Thank you for a great hunt.

I have read an article about this cardboard house a couple years ago. I wanted to hunt it but wasn't able to find it. I am glad you did.

What? Say what? Interesting indeed......... is it safe? I suppose for a shelter it would be great but for some storms..... I wonder. If you're into this kinda' thing check out earth ships. Now they are more my speed! I did enjoy this very much though. For the price of this it seems you could make shift something out of the environment you're in at the time that would work. For more permanent structures the tiny houses are pretty kool too. Thanks!

This is soooo cool, absolutely fucking mayhem!! This makes me think that those homeless people you see living in cardboard boxes need to get some royalties or something

It's a nice paper house. It looks good because it's environmentally friendly and easy to make. I'm a little worried when it rains. Thank you for sharing.

fknmayhem, definitely a different kind of a house. And it can be assembled in 6 hours, quite cool to be able to do this so quickly. Would love to try. Cool hunt.

It's another cool-looking eco-house. Although I have no plans in living in one of them anytime soon, it's interesting to see how architects and other designers are thinking outside the box when it comes to redefining what regular folks consider living spaces. Keep it up!

6 hours duration for assembling it , is really good. (It may take 16 hours for me, I am not good at assembling LoL) Congratulations to the designers. Great Hunt @fknmayhem

Interesting invention but the price killed me instantly:) The design does look cool to me tho. Nice hunt @fknmayhem

(4) It is very very ideal for emergency houses.

Thank you...steem on that hunt.

is a truly impressive design for its speed at the time of assembling it but just as complete and beautiful as this house is, surely fulfill the dream of many of a home, I love its design, is a great hunting, congratulations.

@fknmayhem own house for many people is a dream, live renting never gives the opportunity to save to buy a home, this could be the option of temporary housing, to get the money for the final csa. This opinion happens here in my country Argentina
Thank you very much for letting us know about this product
I wish you a happy hunt

I see so many opportunities for all kinds of tiny/easy housing! Refugee camps, temporary (if we can find a light/reusable version) housing after natural disasters, cheap housing for students - and if the package is small enough take it with you on a trailer and live like a true nomad that changes land every quarter of a year :D

It doesn't look like anything from the outside but i like inside of the house.

Congratulations!
