I agree it would better encourage the flow of ideas, if your first language is not English, to write in your own language. Perhaps this could lead to some kind of translation facility. I would be happy for, say, an Italian person to write in Italian and I'll translate it or have it translated. I would say though that perhaps the title could be in both the author's native language and in English so that I would recognise the topic and know that it's something I'd like to read.
