Hey there, just started using Steem a couple days ago.
I left Facebook 2 years ago as I felt it was consuming too much of my life and just dragging me down. All I did was share news and post things I hoped made me look like a deep thinker.
My first day at Steemit, I began writing the first article I ever wrote. I finished it in a couple hours and I was very happy with what I had. I was so excited I posted it right when I was done (which I later came to regret-I have so much more to add)
My point is-after a few days on this website I already feel as though I am bettering myself. I feel like everyone here is very positive and their aim is to post quality content.

That's a great testimonial to the power of Steemit. I feel pretty much the same way about Facebook. It's built to empower Facebook, not the end user. And it can take up a lot of your day. Thanks @jznsamuel, i appreciate the comments. And yes I've tested out Dtube a bit but need to do some more testing with it. I'm eager to move completely off of YouTube completely at some point. But so far my I've had issues with playback in Dtube. I'll keep testing it though and once I can get it working regularly for me I'll move my videos there.

I am new here and I feel that not many french are on .... Its a strange for new commer like me to be on steemit. At first your not really welcomed , but its probably to do some kind of selection ? to see if any trolls are around ? from all the yourube videos I have seen stemmit is a place where you have to desrve your place ,by posting intelligent so it feels as only can "elite " will be noticed .... Then I read that the more you are voted for or if you are noticed by a sort of "steem whale " you can get steem power and become part of the "elite " ..... Basically steem is just a mirror of how are societies are organised ..... But with the blockchain tech behind :) I am trying to understand all of this , I read quite some posts and
am happy to be here because the concept is different from other social networks , but in the end don't we do as we have always done since the begining of human times ?
I know it may not be a popular view .... But I am trying to figure out this voting system and your post allows me to share this and maybe get someone to help me out to figure it out ? :)

This is really amazing and helpful. When i joined this platform, i was intrigued by how everyone keeps sharing and building a community around themselves. Selfless act. I am new to this community, I like the rewarding system in place for author to get paid for the content they created. I am trying to create a comic blog on Steemit . However, as a new member, it is hard to get your works to be seen without the promoted Steem power.

I do like your suggestion of creating more engagement in the comments. I have seem some simple yes/no comments get paid dollars, and other more meaningful ones get nothing. I can't quite figure that part out yet.

Hello @brandonfrye , I came across you post and find this very interesting I joined steemit a few days ago as i have been watching my partner for many months write reviews/blogs with such intent as he is awaiting a heart transplant i cannot go to work as I am his carer ,
So a few days ago i sat and thought to myself... I never shut up always got a story to tell always got something to give so decided to make a steemit account . i care about the community in RL and online i am a starwars costumer (raise money for charities) for example - legoland i was apart of the costuming community Rebel legion and Uk garrison and we raised (£15.000) in two days just by being there for everyone and that makes me beam with smiles because its not what you have but what you have to give for others,, and love to entertain people ,. I love to make new friends and such a people Watcher yet never think about myself so thought steemit could be like a daily diary where i could interact with so many people such as your self , and may I say i am thankful i crossed your posts , for me its not about earning money even though (it would be lovely) but its not the end of the world for me It is meeting great people all unique and have something to share just like myself , Brandon today you are the most interesting person i have crossed and can i say Thankyou it makes me smile that there are lovely people still around , it would be an honor if we could be friends and share posts i have liked this , followed you and upvoted i don't know how to resteemit if i did I would do that (maybe a pointer on how to do that please) , i look forward to hearing from you and making a new friendship ? , thankyou dee xx
