In our previous video we showed the world what it really took to remodel our bus into our home. Two weeks of exhausting work in the smothering Texas heat. Unfortunately we didn't get to finish the entire project before we had to leave on our Dash Across America Tour.
On The Road Again
Our latest video (above) depicts the first few days on the road in the Bitcoin.com Bus. We deal with an incomplete remodel (brake repairs prevented us from working inside the bus for 4 days!), we run out of gas and run into minor obstacles as we cruise across West Texas toward the 5th annual Jackalope Freedom Festival.
We spend bitcoin, we boondock, we live a rather decentralized life!
Then There Was SteemIt
As we drove I learned about a new blogging platform called SteemIt.com. I was immediately curious and posted about our bus departing on tour that very day. I earned a few cents and began to explore the website. Within a few days I saw Jeff Berwick post his introductory post and earn over 10k in Steem tokens. I was dumbfounded.

I immediately wrote my #introduceyourself post and felt both tickled pink and heart broken that I only made like $9. The amazing part is that I earned $9 in tokens for writing an introduction - the humbling part was the comparison to Berwick's!
Anyway, I was so excited that the next day I stayed up to write a post explaining why my children don't have Social Security Numbers. I posted it as we drove into the National Forest for #JackFest and thought about it every day until we had internet access again. At Jackfest watched a great presentation on SteemIt, and listened to the buzz about the platform all over the festival. When we left I discovered that I made $34 worth of steem tokens on my SSN post, and that is when I officially got bit with the steemit bug!
This video follows our journey to Jackfest from Austin, Texas. What an amazing adventure we are on! The next video will cover Jackfest and our trip to San Diego to visit our favorite #bitcoin community in the US!.

I love what you guys are doing, and between being a mom, wife, writer, etc I feel like I cannot always give you or other anarchists the time and focus I want to.
But you always always have my support, and I believe I have an accurate sense of the really good people, and genuine hearts, in our liberty community.
You certainly, along with your husband, are among them, and I totally think Steemit is worth putting effort in to understand its functions and setup.
I know Macey Tomlin and I had a great conversation about it that left her with more understanding and feeling excited more about getting into it and learning how it works.
So keep it up, don't ever feel discouraged. Zuckerberg wasn't paying me jack shit, is how I see it. So I might not make what Larken or Berwick consistently are making, but it does NOT mean that it is impossible I could eventually bring in big numbers!

Your story is inspiring. Having just climbed on board I am interested in learning more about how to best contribute and enjoy all of this. One thread I hope to pursue is the development of our lives going from 65 years of living stick houses and working a variety of jobs. Now, the thought of retirement and a chance to do something really new....Full time RV'ng crisscrossing the nation. And now a way to chronicle those times and share with others. Have a great trip and I look forward to podcasts and videos.

Im older now it was many years ago , i traveled alot when i was younger before my sons were born , there now 29 and 26, i do have a photo album out in country property, there was no such thing as blogging and stuff in those years! But i should take them out of the album and put them onto a memory card or something! Lol i will have to get my son to do it, as im still learning computers and cell phones lol! Thanks!
