Why isn't @activistpost getting more attention on steemit?

A few weeks ago I was excited to find @activistpost on steemit. If you're not familiar, they are a popular alt-media site that features dozens of different authors exposing what the mainstream media ignores. From war, economics, and cronyism, to health and environmental issues. ( here is the introduction post) I've followed them on social media for years and I have a ton of respect for some of their authors like Vin Armani, Derrick Broze, and Brandon Turbeville just to name a few. Since their site often posts articles on bitcoin and blockchain as well as featuring a lot of authors who are an-cap, I figured they would be extremely successful on steemit. Unfortunately aside from two posts that paid well in the beginning, most of their posts have been averaging 10-11 up-votes and no payout. Even some that were written exclusively for steemit didn't payout. Their profile is still posting regularly though. Lately they have been sharing episodes of the Vin Armani show which I really look forward to.( here is the latest episode) Almost everytime I see @activistpost on my feed I share the post, but it hasn't brought any more attention to their awesome work, so I decided to make a post about it! Isn't this exactly who we want on steemit? Established writers and bloggers bringing their work to steemit and hopefully their following as well? Check out their work, toss them some up-votes, and help get their audience to steemit! the better they do on this platform, the more they will talk about it to their followers! @activistpost deserves to be on the trending page regularly!

you know...I self identify as an anarchist...an cap probably.
but I'm almost afraid to converse with any anarchists here on Steemit. Fraid I'll get bit. In fact I have been 'bitten' by a few of them. They've got a very short fuse..

SO...perhaps that's typical? Perhaps it carries over? Perhaps that attitude contributes to the low receptivity of your favorite?

I dunno..

Give me a minute while I put on my flame retardant underwear...

Ok..

Flame on!

I've been "bitten" by an caps as well they can be know-it-all's. Not yet on steemit though, everyone has been pretty nice. @activistpost doesn't write about an-cap philosophy really, they are just a news outlet. I follow several of their writers and thats why I know a few are an-cap. They definitely shouldn't be viewed as an anarchist site though. They feature authors from all spectrum's. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that.

I'd always thought that it was the 'left', the green ones who were thin skinned, short fused, and hypocrites.

For my sins I've learned that this is not exclusively their purview.

No unfortunately most are short fused hypocrites. even an caps. That's why i don't put my faith behind any individual, only the message of freedom.

you say fire? I'll bring the gasoline!!

and my big girl panties... I'm in

Wheres the consent form?

Thanks for posting. I didn't know they were here. So, thanks to this I found them and follow. I've seen others here who should be getting more recognition. What I found is more effective is when something like Activist Post makes an official announcement to their followers on their site and get people to come over to Steemit. Thanks for the heads up.

I bet if they started trending they would make an official announcement. @dollarvigilante brought a wave of users. I'm pretty sure activist post has way more readers.

Yeah, they need to post consistently 4 times a day, too. They'll get there. I like everyone on AP.

Time will tell, in time they will grow, or create a platform for others to grow. Everything in life is as it should be right now... or so the wise ones say!

It is simple, they don't engage. Case closed.

If you comment on their posts they reply though. I agree if they spent more time commenting on others posts they would do better.
