How Have I Helped Followup And Giveaway Result

in steemit •  7 years ago

Last week I published a post celebrating reaching the 500 followers milestone, in which I asked people how my posts have been helpful to them. I got some great responses, and have some insights which I wanted to share.

@nahus and @cstrimel both talked about how they liked the eclectic nature of my blog here, with @nahus go so far as to consider my work an inspiration to create more diverse content on here. I super appreciated that. @cstrimel also talked about my commitment to feminism, which was also appreciated.

@father2b and @recklessflyer both mentioned my coverage of pro wrestling. I know this coverage turns some of my readers off, so getting this positive feedback for it is awesome. I picked wrestling because of my various topics of interest, it seemed somewhat neglected here on the blockchain, and I'm glad it has found an audience.

Finally, @amirl took the time to comment on what is definitely my biggest shortcoming as a member of the community, which is that I don't read and comment as much as I should. This is important feedback, and he's right. Especially in times like now, when I have a million things to do, I tend to focus on the things I committed to doing, such as my daily posts, and other stuff falls by the wayside. But that makes my participation one-sided and broadcast only, and I should work on that.

I numbered the genuine responses and used random.org to pick the winner of the giveaway, and @cstrimel's wallet should now show an extra 10sbd. Congrats, Craig!

Thank you to all who participated in this exercise, and to all of my readers and followers on here. I appreciate you!
