A joy.
Steemit is a journal. A diary. A novel. An opinion.
A song. A poem.
Steemit can be all these things and more.
Steemit, at its best (for I know and understand its worst, but I am not interested in playing with that deck) can bring a voice to millions - and resources.
I want Steemit to succeed. I want the world to be a better place. I want those without food to eat, and those without a voice to be heard screaming for justice.
I want Steemit to succeed. Because Steemit is mine, and it is yours.

I want Steemit to succeed too. Unfortunately I'm getting a little disheartened, with the complete lack of any attention or interaction my posts are getting. I'm approaching it with an open heart, sharing things which I believe to be of value, and am hearing an overwhelming silence in return. I really like this platform for its positivity, and support for each other that I see all over the place, just wish some of it was coming my way.
I'll keep at it, just because i want Steemit to do well, but it's taking a lot of effort at the moment

@goldiemr You need to understand that for you to get others to engage with your blog, you need to get involved with others. Comment on other people's posts. Don't just upvote blogs and run away. Drop quality comments. Participate in the activities of the communities you belong to. That's one sure way to get noticed by others.
When I started out, my introductory post did very well, however the blogs following was getting little money. But i just told myself that I'll keep at it, and I did. Besides, I joined #steemitschool and I've learnt a lot of strategies to use and succeed on steemit. You can join the #steemitschool discord channel via https://discord.gg/64eMzmt.You'd be supported to succeed there.
Finally, don't be discouraged and don't quit. Keep your passion alive.

You're right @drworm. Steemit has become a platform through which a lot of people get food to eat. Whether it's from the rewards people get for steeming or from the various projects that caters to needs of poor people out there, steemit has become a life changer.
