Is it me or.... Is Synereo being marketed in exactly the same way Ethereum was?

Ethereum

Synereo

Both networks talk about Dapps. Yeah, those 100% pure vapor ethereum-based dapps.

Can anyone name a single one that is in production today?

Right, didn't think so. It's been a complete mystery to me why ethereum has any value whatsoever. It might "do what it says it does" but in the end that amounts to very, very little.

By the way, if I'm wrong about the "no eth dapps in production" claim, then please, please do refute this in the comments.

Synereo is being compared to steemit. This is ludicrous, because steemit is something I'm using right now.

We also know that there's a great similarity in the dev teams for Synereo and Ethereum, centering around a certain surely brilliant Canadian, Vitalik.

isn't ether a vapor?

I think synereo will be a tough competitor. Much tougher than yours. Steem may stay #1 but I think synereo will force it to adapt.

"much tougher than yours"?

I hope you don't mean that I'm competing with steemit...... 'cause that's nay the case.... my dev work is just surrounding creating new views for what steemit already offers.

No "yours network" a stupid name is one reason among many they won't succeed. https://www.yours.network

Ah, yes-- yours network is surely not going to go anywhere, and the reason is of course that BTC micropayments don't really work.

I don't think Synereo is viable, it all depends how distributed a system is. ETH failed horribly as the code was not done properly.

I think Steemit is the nr.1 decentralized social media platform.

Clearly it is: We are using it ;).

Was there ever a crowd sale for Steem in the same way there was a crowd sale for AMPS?

I don't think there was.

Synereo had a clean legitimate birth. No one wants the bastard step-sons of hard forked Ethereum. $25M still remains unclaimed in the DAO. I wonder why? I'm a BIG fan of Siacoin too BTW!
