If you are like me, you probably don't really care much for the standard Steemit interface. I know that I am not a fan and was delighted when Steempeak came along and totally revitalized the look and feel of Steemit. The standard interface just seems so, yuck, to me and I am really going to miss Steempeak but totally understand why they would be exiting the market so to speak. I suppose we should consider ourselves lucky that they are even letting us know they intend to leave and also exactly what day that will happen.

Sorry, I just don't like it!
For me, this standard interface is particularly frustrating when I am composing a post since the preview occurs below where you are typing instead of beside it the way that Steempeak worked. Also, the tracking of friends, communities, and just everything else worked a lot better in Steempeak. They will certainly be missed by me, that is for sure.
It is just superior in every way
So now the problem that I am going to face is that as far as I know there is no suitable alternative and I am very hopeful that someone out there knows of one. I will reluctantly use the standard interface if I have to, but oh I am not looking forward to that.
I am currently writing this using the regular Steemit interface that I am very surprised hasn't been changed in years. Did i miss something major when I was using Steempeak? Is there an alternative out there? I'm really hoping so because urgh, the standard interface just kind of makes me mad :)
Thanks for all the work the people over at Steempeak did over the years. I am disappointed to see you go but again, I understand why you are leaving.
So, what say you, do you know of any other interface out there that we can use?
The awesome creator of Steempeak left this platform a while ago, and is now only working with the PeakD interface on Hive... A while ago he said that he will no longer do anything with Steempeak, and that is why... I am really sad about it myself, and unfortunately, I am stuck with the normal Steemit interface as well. Not much I can do about it, but it does make me frustrated as well!

I will just have to relish these next 12 days i guess! It is going to be such a pain to return to the old interface. :(

It is really painful... I never liked the interface, and now I am forced to work with it. So many functions I miss, and it makes staying active so much harder. I guess much of the creativity has gone to Hive... would need some developers here on the Steem side as well!

Welp, this might be your lucky day @gooddream. I just so happened to come across your post and viola! Some Korean developer has been working really hard on a Steem mobile app and it has JUST come out today. You might wanna check it out. I hope it's what you're looking for. It's at @etainclub's page. It's gone through testing phase, and now there are going to be English Tutorials on the app. Soon, it will be awesome. I know you're looking for a new interface. Maybe this is it.

Hope you're able to find something and I appreciate you loved using it even for a whole year while there was no development that is pretty cool but sad there wasn't something to surpass it while it stood still. All my best to you.
