Influencer Marketing is truly at the inception phase. In the "real world" "word of mouth" marketing has proven to me the most effective way to advertise or publicize a product or service. A distinction needs to be made between Mega Influencers and Micro Influencers. Mega Influencers are very costly and do not provide the same level of authenticity as to Micro Influencers. Excuse all the cliches, but people buy from people and promoting a product to your friends through your social channels is a way for you to endorse a product or service. Micro Influencers also have a higher engagement rate with their friends and followers.
