Hi my name is Almuzzammil, i was born 25 years ago, i live in Aceh, Indonesia. I am new in steemit, and i must learn more about steemit. For now my job as a farmer, but before this i was study in university. I love art, specific is a photography, drawing and poetry. But i can't express my hobbies, because my hobbies can not be used even very unsuitable for farming

I know steemit from my best friend, he said this social media where you can perform your hobbies here, and you will be get a reward. I really interested, but i don't know anything about steemit, and then i learn little by little, until now i still learn.

Maybe just this from me, and i hope you like my post :). This my link https://steemit.com/@almuzzammil, Thank you.

Hello and welcome @almuzzamil. I'm excited to meet you. I'll be checking out your blog shortly.

Yes, Steemit is a great place to practice your art. I find farming and photography go very well together in that images of plants, animals and growth are inspiring, but I also understand how we can't always achieve our financial needs with by applying our hobbies to work.

I'm glad you are here.

Hi @munazza! Good to meet you. I'll visit your blog shortly. I'm curious what type of freelance work you are trying to create a career from. And what type of engineering do you do?

As to building up a following on Steemit, your best bet is joining different Discords and commenting on people's posts. Steemit is community-based. The more you interact, the more people will interact with you. I am wishing you the best!

Who am I? I struggle with this question so much when I'm trying to introduce myself to someone. I never quite know which parts of myself to focus on and I feel like I'm just lists of dichotomies sometimes!

In light of the topics you broach on your blog and because I find myself drawn to so much of what you write, I will let that flavor a bit of my description here.

I am a wife and a mom to 5 mostly adult children and a grandma... but I am also a survivor of yet another generation of dysfunctional family 'secrets' and what I would probably call curses. My greatest accomplishment as a mother was breaking free of all the generations of abuse. Moving my family away from all of it, yet being open and honest about the realities of our families histories in hopes that it would never be buried or secret again and thus taking away from the power that is held in secrets.

Writing brings me to life. Working with children and teaching, inspiring them to be true to themselves has brought me to life for years and years.

Now my kids are grown and I'm not involved in the community activities I used to be (for a plethora of reasons) so I am looking for new ways to inspire others, hopefully to help and encourage other parents of younger children to break free of things that hold them back.

And, I suppose, at some point, in some way, to share my own story, my own truths so that other people can know that they aren't alone and that healing is entirely possible.

That, I suppose, is the best way I can introduce myself for now.

@byn

This is a beautiful introduction, @byn. I am moved that you work to not only break the cycle from your family, but to help others change their family patterns as well. It sounds like you are a healer, and that you have come to that by choosing survival over being bound by toxic blood. No going septic for you.

When you say you aren't doing some of the activities you were, I hear you. While I don't know the specifics, I do know that we have to seek balance and listen to our limitations and see them as helpful boundaries.

Thank you for being here and introducing yourself. I am grateful for this firm handshake.

Good afternoon @shawnamawna. I have been a husband for over 13 years, and a father for more than 3. My family is incredibly important to me. but as to what lifts me and stirs things within me? That's music. I have not had much time to enjoy playing since my son was born, but before that from high school on, there was not much time what I was not in a band. Whether singing, playing drums, or bass guitar. I cannot go a day with listening to music. I get lost in beats more often than I should, and with my job now being at home rather than in an office, it is sometimes the only company I have. Which brings me to what breaks me. Not being around people is currently breaking me. Working from home has it's benefits, but that is not one of them. Maybe that coincides with the musician in me, that I need to interact, collaborate, and create with others. I could go on forever, but that's what's on the top of my head right now!

Wow. I can see how that would break you. Writing stirs my heart, but I couldn't do it while parenting for years. It was like a piece of my body was in a vice. I love learning that you have a family beyond the sister I know. And I love that you are a musical being. Do you have anything you can vent on dsound? I'd love to hear you. I didn't see any dsound posts in your feed yet.

I feel the same about being in a vice. I had to download a karaoke app on my phone just to stop from going crazy!! I do have 2 tracks from my most recent band (from around 2011) up on dsound. I'm playing drums on them. Unfortunately, I sold those when we moved across country in 2011, and haven't had the opportunity (or money!) to replace them now that I have room again.

I'm glad you're writing agin, or if your work on here isn't new, at least getting it out there and speaking it helps a bit.

Hi, I'm April. I'm 43 (very soon to be 44) and I live in Las Vegas, NV USA.

I chose this picture not because I identify with that vodka tonic lol but because it does remind me of who I am. No make up, sitting outside on my patio taking a moment to soak in the day. That's me. I like to live my life. I make time to enjoy the simplicity of the world.

I'm a corporate type business woman by day. But I don't allow my career to define me. I find my joy in my family, my friends, and I train and compete with my dogs. I love books and coffee, and quiet.

You can read more here where I had the chance to be featured on the awesome Humans Of Steemit page

I love your presentation of a work-life balance through enjoying the simplicity of the world. I'm heading over to read more about you on Humans of Steemit. Thank you for introducing yourself here. I'm happy to know you a little better. :)

Thank you. This was a great post. I love reading everyone's comments

I am Scott, aka @naquoya. I stumbled on your blog a few months ago on a creative writing related post, as that is my primary interest. However i have come to see some of your spoken word pieces and trauma related posts lately. This is a topic of some interest to me, due to past situations. So I observe with interest and understanding.

I am Australian, although I have moved from there currently. Which suits life at Steemit as it is such a multicultural place. I have made some great new friends here, over my 15 months or so of being here. That time has included twice having to withdraw from life here due to health reasons - cancer and heart related issues. So I have found writing to be a therapeutic release for these health and deeper issues from days gone by. It helps me to put unknown or unseen feelings and thoughts into a structure that seems to release it from being stuck within.

inspired by your spoken word pieces, I recently ventured way out of my comfort zone and recorded this piece: Lessons Learned From a Dying Man

Thank you for this post, it is actually a wonderful idea, and you seem to have received some great responses.

These ARE great responses. I love what you say here:

It helps me to put unknown or unseen feelings and thoughts into a structure that seems to release it from being stuck within.

This is the heart of my writing through trauma teaching. It is wonderful you are doing this for yourself. I think there is nothing better than the right self-care tool. Especially when you are a survivor!

I will be listening to your piece shortly. I'm very excited!

Thank you for your response. Writing has been very helpful to me. For decades, although only in the last two years has it been at a level where I felt comfortable sharing it. Through writing education, and also through osmosis -by reading the stories of others in a similar situations such as yourself and authors like @snowmachine -and seeing how words work when written well and from the heart.

Thanks for taking the time to have a listen to the audio :)

I'm the LymePoet and I'm wearing multiple hats. I am a freelance ghost writer, a poet, an author, a self-taught artist, a Lyme disease advocate and survivor, a mother and a friend with good listening skills.

This is a LOT of hats. I also ghost write, but small online pieces. How do you enjoy it? I love your definition of self. You clearly know and use your power.

Poetry makes and breaks me..
Poetry flows through the nib of my veins..
Poetry nozzles my life through the tough pipes.

I write because writing makes me powerful and free.

Nice post. I love this.
