After a long night indicates that it was the Twilight Time But no light from stars and the moon shows that It was Dawn and the Sun has grown from the horizon...So the Right Answer(explanation) is That the Julia arrived home in the morning and saw the Gold Coin.

That was really a long night. No light from stars and moon? It was then morning already. The street lightning was broken or already off. So she had plenty of light from the sun.

I think because it was during the day light. :)

Since it is a gold coin, it probably reflected in the dark.

Yeah, a long night with many drinks was behind her. It was day. She picked up the coin in the day.

The sun is up.

I'd say it was because of the approaching morning light from the rising sun? That's how she saw the gold coin?

If she was walking home after a long night then its possible that the sun was coming up. So the light from the sun rising reflected off the coin.
