Hi friends Educational Community, once again with you in our teaching and learning methodology to promote our educational system.

Introduction

Today, let's share our thoughts on the best methods of Teaching Lower Class: "The parts of a Flower." As a Science Teacher my interest and love for Science has been the practical aspects which enable the students to be exposed to real things and get the full glare of the concept of the lesson. Many teachers teach in the abstract manner, so most students do not get the basis of what we teach, so it ends up by the students completing the course and yet do not understand what we have taught them.

As a Science teacher before the start of the lesson, let me get my materials for the lesson down to avoid any rush, that a complete flower having all the parts. If possible, let me get many flowers of the same kind so that every student will get one flower, or if that is not possible, I can choose to put the students into groups, so that each group will have one flower. To begin with, let me reveal students relevant knowledge on flowers. We know that children love flowers a lot, so they always interact with flowers; they play with flowers, use for decorations and many other things. Be I start the presentation, let me hide my flowers small in order not for my students to get the clue, and to let them get much concentration for the lesson. As much as my students know plants, let me put my RPK question to test my students knowledge on the lesson that I am yet to introduce to them: *"What part of a plant produces good scent that we normally love to smell, and most insects love to suck or eat from? For those students who are quick enough will say that it is "a flower." As soon as they mention a flower, that announces the title of the lesson, then let me quickly say that the title of today's lesson is: "Parts of a flower!" The students might have seen a flower, but might not know that even a flower has some parts, so I will inform that we are going to learn parts of a flower.

This lesson is full of activity base, so let me put my students groups very sizable for me to control them. But the grouping should comprise of the weaker students and the brilliant students. Assemble all the flowers in front of the class on the teacher's and begin to distribute the flowers to each group. The lesson is between the teacher and students, but the teacher should act as just facilitator here guiding the students to learn on their own. I want every student to get involve of the lesson, so I will stand in front of the class with one flower for the students to observe as we do together. We are going to dismantle each of the parts for the students to know the name of each part. We will start the dismantle the flowers from the base the long stick to the sepal is the stalk that is connected the the plant, let each group remove the base part of the flower, that is the sepal followed by the petal, the filament, the anther, the stigma and the style. Let the student understand that the filament and the anther form the male parts and the stigma and the style form the female parts of the flower. Let the students also understand that each of the parts that they have dismantle has its function, which will be learnt in the next lesson. Guide students to draw the parts of the flower into their note books for reference learning.

Conclusion

Summarize the lesson by going over with the separation of each part of the flower for student s to remember what they have learned so far. Let's students ask questions of any part of the lesson they did not understand. Give them exercise and end the lesson for our next meeting. Friends, I think you followed this lesson, thanks very much for your time being with me!
