Steemit Photo Challenge #17 - Willy Wonka Glass Elevator Church

We visited this unique church while driving through Nebraska. The church is isolated on top of a large grassy hill. You have to take a small dirt road to get there. Then walk a curvy, gravel pathway to the front of the church. It looks to be constructed of all wood and glass. If the architect's intent was for the church to blend into it's natural setting, I think it is a grand success. A very impressive structure and beautiful location. These images were shot at sunset during a cloudy and windy evening. This first image is my entry.

Here is a side view of the church. It wasn't very large. I estimated that it could seat no more than 75 people. The church has a westerly view. I am sure it would be a wonderful place for an evening sunset wedding. Yet, the front page of the website says that no weddings are held in the church. It was primarily built for praying and reflection, interesting.

There is a nice water feature that flows straight to the front entry. Everything about this church has a seamless blend with the elements and environment.
