To me it seems the high life cards come with too great a mana cost. I always try to get as many cards as possible to increase chances of winning. The hardest to fight is death because you already start at a handicap.

I agree that their mana costs are a problem... so I tried a "swarm" approach as well... with 2 or 3 (1/2 attack & 1/2 health) instead of 1 "big monster"... and got my ass handed to me just as easily :P
I think green's problem lies in the lack of "abilities"... I've noticed with my other decks that these are often the "deciders" in a battle. Stonesplitter's with it's retaliate could have been so cool.. except that it hardly ever triggers :-(
Maybe the tide will change when I get enough green monsters to level them to levels 3 & 4... but at levels 1 & 2 I'm just not having any luck.
