As you pick up the bow vines on it wrap around your arm making it more stable. (This gives it the +1 to attack)
As you shoot out the arrow a vine attaches it. (This is the grip feature you can choose to active it or not per arrow)
The arrow sticks into the frogman.

So now you have an arrow in the frogman and a vine attached to it. As the frogman tries to shake it free it wraps around him. He appears immobilized.

You think to yourself this has a ton of uses
