There are many treatments for stress. Some types of exercise help with blood pressure, blood sugar and overall wellbeing. Bicycling, swimming and a balanced diet are effective ways to relieve stress. Choose your strategy wisely and you will begin to feel better.
Suggested Stress Relief: Relaxation

We all need to downsize. If you can’t let go of something, donate it to a charity. If you have to sell it or throw it out, do it.
Suggested Stress Relief: Let Your Family Be Your Loved Ones
Let your family be your loved ones. Family is what you make it. So let go of all of the baggage you’ve been carrying around with you and allow yourself to be the parent you were always meant to be.

Make sure you spend more time with your family than anything else. Spend quality time with them. They need that more than you do right now.

That’s a short list of stress relief methods. It’s also an incomplete list. There are more things you can do to relieve your stress. I’m sure if you ask me again I can come up with many more ways.
This is just the beginning and if you keep your mind open, you’ll get better as time goes on.
Stress Relief Methods – Stress Reduction Tips: What To Do When Under Stress:
- Breathe (Exercise)
You’re stressed because you’re thinking about the future and the future is unknown and you’re over-thinking about it. The best way to reduce your stress is to just breath. Breathing will give you the energy to deal with the problem and come up with solutions.
Breathing exercises, yoga, meditating, etc are all forms of breathing. If you are over thinking, stop thinking, just breathe.
- Laugh (Fun)
Stop thinking about your problems. Stop thinking about what you don’t have. Start thinking about what you have and what is going to be wonderful.
If you don’t find that fun, talk about the things you love. Or listen to music that makes you happy. You don’t have to stop thinking about what you don’t have. You have many things that you’re very grateful for. Stop focusing on what you don’t have and start feeling joy.
- Change your perspective (Think of what you DO have)
It’s easy to be stressed. If you’re stressed about the future, why not change your perspective to what you DO have.
Take a look around and look at the world around you. Change your thought process to think about all of the wonderful things.
Your future can only get better with all of the blessings you’re currently enjoying.
- Give your mind a break (Rest, read a good book, watch a movie, etc.)
The mind works so fast that sometimes we can get a mental overload and not be able to think straight. I think I’ve written more on this because I find that many people ask me for a short list of things to do when they’re stressed. Here are a few of my favorites:
Get enough sleep (It really helps. I think it’s the best self-care routine to sleep.)
Drink lots of water
Take a bath
Take a walk
Go for a run (this gets me out of my head and lets my mind be rejuvenated)
- Create a plan
I’ve written more about this because I think it’s really easy to get lost in worry and stress. To help keep yourself out of the worry and stress, create a plan.
Here are some questions to think about:
What do I need to do?
How can I take care of myself?
What am I going to eat?
Where am I going to go?
How am I going to feel?
The point of creating a plan is to start taking action and to help get your mind out of the thoughts and worries.
