It is big money to stay in perpetual war and big pharma would have to account for creating HUNDRANDS OF THOUSANDS of addicts from their 'Medications' if we didn't have a buggy man to point at and actually fought a war on drugs. The Armys mentality toward destoying the opium fields was always negative and politically motivated.
I feel bad for the troops who still believe it.
