Running a Crypto Project is not the same as a business!!

I'm involved with a number of different crypto projects in varying degrees of completion and there seems to be 1 problem that seems to permeate across nearly all of them, and that is the lack of communication.

For those of us that have been around Steem for a while knew very well the problems and angst that was caused last year and part o this year when the team treated the community like 2nd class citizens and refused to talk to us. Thankfully this problem is somewhat alleviated, I wouldn't say its fixed but they do appear to be doing some communications and people have a bit more of an idea of whats going on.

But then if we look at Vice Industry Token, we can see history repeating itself. They have just released a great starting platform to a brilliantly lucrative ecosystem, but refuse to talk at all. There is absolutely no statements, the CEO doesn't say anything of value and the community is left to worry and start rumours.

People running these projects need to realise that a Crypto Project is NOT like running a company where the staff will follow the leader blindly. Crypto projects ONLY succeed on community involvements and building hype. Look at Tron or Verge or any of those other 2nd rate projects that have really delivered fuck all, they are succeeding not because they are the best but because the community gets behind them and rallys to make them great.

Investing in marketing and social media hype is almost as important to a crypto project as it is in investing in a good tech team.

So people need to learn from history and involve their community, and build the hype. Word of mouth is the best recommendation and positive hype is invaluable.
