in tips •  7 years ago  (edited)
Hi... dear all steemians. As a steemian who joined steemit few days ago, I don't know much about what is what and how to do what. I faced many problem to write my introduction post. I don't know to make the text aligned. I don't know how to put the picture in the center of the page. I don't know how to add emoticon to my post. While writing needs skill and experience to write a good post, I will share basic needs that you will need to make your post looks 'cleaner'.

  • Justify Your Text

    Before.PNG
    The Picture before I add the html text

    Your post will not look good if the text is messy (am I using a right word?). For me personally, I prefer to read the post that looks clean and tidy. It is pretty simple. You just need to type some of this html text before and after your text.

    <div class= "text-justify">
    Type your text here
    </div>

    You can compare, how the text before and after I added the html tag. After I added the html text, the text is aligned.

  • How to Center The Image
    Adding a picture into our post will make it look better, but if the picture placing itself in left while you want it to be in the middle of the post. I am familiar with this one. I have used it to center the image in my blog. It is pretty simple. You just need to add a simple html text before the picture link.

    <center>
    Your picture link
    </center>

    It works for image, text, gift, or youtube video. I will add an example.

  • How to Bold Important Word
    Steemit gave a few method to make the important word bold, using ** (double stars) or using double underscores but I don't know why, it doesn't work for me. For this html tag, I used it in graphicriver account. In graphicriver, the authors have to use html text to make the caption of their product. I feel thankful I have known it before hand, hehe

    <strong>
    Put the important text here
    </strong>

  • How to Add Emoticon
    To make a beautiful post, sometimes I put emoticon to make my text feels more lively. It is a bit different to add emoticon into your post. To add an emoticon, you will need emoticon lists. You can search it in google to find your lovely emoticon or you can open this link
    http://www.iemoji.com/

    How add it is pretty simple. Please follow the steps bellow:

    1. Open the link
    2. Click on your willing emoticon
    3. In the upper box, copy the emoticon and paste it the text you want to add it
    4. Finish
  • How to Add Bullet
    While the text will automatically numbering when you type the number, you will have to use html text to add bullet in your text.

    <li> Add Your Text Here </li>

    Okay, that are all the five tips from me. I will add other useful tips as I learn something new from this community. Do not forget to upvote, resteem and leave some foot print if you love my post.
    Much Love,
