Koprivshtitsa is a city-museum and a unique settlement, in which more than 250 monuments of architecture have been preserved since the Renaissance.
Koprivshtitsa is one of the few fully preserved architectural ensembles of the Epoch of the Bulgarian National Renaissance. Here you can see houses with their blossoming courtyards, which are enclosed by high stone walls and gates. Tourists are interested to see the randomly located streets and sites, which are paved with cobblestones, numerous fountains and bridges of stone, curved by an arc over mountain streams. The smell of wild geranium, boxwood, peony and geranium make the city even more attractive for tourists.
The greatest wealth of Koprivshtitsa is the houses of the era of the Bulgarian National Renaissance. Some houses are turned into museums.
The main transport of Koprivshtitsa, to which settlements are connected, is the railway. Koprivshtitsa on the main line Sofia-Karlovo-Burgas, which is located 10 km north of the city itself. The station can be reached by bus, which serves all passing trains. In the town of Koprivshtitsa there are bus lines that lead up to the major cities of Bulgaria.
The city is the beginning for many hiking and scenic eco-routes.
