It’s mid March and everyone in Middle East knows what it means… Summer is just around the corner!!!. So,,, before we bid goodbye to this beautiful weather, let’s call-out our friends and plan some getaway!

March last year #TeamGala had Winter Ends Getaway, somewhere in the desert. The weather was still perfect for camping and sand dunes.

I found a great weekend deal for TWO in Camping Tent with Breakfast and Activities at Abu Desert Farm for only AED 250.00 (USD 68/-).. So I immediately informed them and we booked our stay!

The deal includes the following:

• 10 sqm Camping Tent with Airbed and quilt
• Breakfast
• Quad Bike
• Sand Skiing
• Table Tennis
• Beach Volleybal
• Mahjong
• Board and Card Games
• Mini Zoo

Really perfect for families, friends and even team building. T'was about 45 minutes drive from Abu Dhabi City and it's way is to Al Ain. We rented Kia Carnival so everyone fits...

We left the city past 08:00 PM, being guided by Waze... but we reached almost 10:00 PM...

Note:
It is in the middle of nowhere, I suggest to go there while sun is still up so you won't be lost. Once you're out in the main road, there will be no street lights and just rely on your headlights.

We were welcomed by Mr. Mohammed and assisted us for check-in. We booked 2 Camping Tents and 1 Bedouin Desert Tent (with private toilet) but we were lucky and was upgraded to 3 Bedouin Desert Tent for free!!! Lovely!!

There were group of scientists who occupied 4 rooms, they were on visit and joined some Robotic competition here in AUH. We were upgraded to Bedouin Desert Tent as there was a chance of rain.

We immediately prepare our dinner... GRILL timeee!!

We were also able to chat with the group of scientist during dinner. We asked them to join us and they willingly sat and joined us.

_{Ohh,,, we had dinner with Harry Potter!! LOL ... spot him!! 😅😅}

They're from Czech Republic and it was a night of nosebleed 😅😅😅 LOL,,, t'was fun knowing their culture and 2 of them already traveled to Philippines. We were all having fun and we didn't notice the time, we all decided to go to bet past 02:00 AM next day.

Oahh,,, look how the Bedouin Desert Tent looks inside!

Me and @prinsepong tried to catch the sunrise,,, though we were late but at least we were able to capture the beauty of the dessert! then @appleskie joined us...

We went back to our tent then prepared our own breakfast. Oohh,,, don't expect for a sumptuous breakfast... we were deceived too... LOL

Slice bread and a tray of egg! 🤣🤣🤣

By the way, we volunteered to cook the egg!! Hehehe....

After breakfast, we prepared ourselves for the highlight of stay... Sand Dunes Activities!!

It was tiring but surely brought out that child heart in us... and this video can't deny it! LOL

After the activity, it was just right time to relax and prepare for check out...

Eii,, wait!! Our getaway didn't end there!! There were moreee... a lottt moreee!! 😅

Since we're about 30 minutes to Al Ain... we decided to go and have lunch there...

FAST FORWARD:
After eating lunch, we decided to go to Hili Fun City and just have FUN!

This experience with friends brought out that child in all of fun. The hours were filled with laughter and teasing... 🤣🤣🤣

Weewwhh!! We almost drained the energy we have... It is a long day I know,,, but we still saved some for Jebel Hafeet.

Jebel Hafeet

Rising 1,240 metres, Jebel Hafeet is the emirate’s highest peak, and UAE’s second. This towering rocky height, which stands guard over Al Ain and borders Oman, is forged out of craggy limestone that has been weathered over millions of years. Significant fossil discoveries have been made in the area, which are vital pieces in the jigsaw of the city’s ancient history.

This time, @appleskie took over the steering-wheel... First because I am already tired and second, I am afraid to drive all the way to the peak! 😂😂😂

We were just right on time to witness the beauty of sunset! Magnificent!!

It was indeed a very long and tiring day... We headed back to Abu Dhabi City from Jebel Hafeet and decided to have our dinner at Greg's Lapaz Batchoy.

I know how our faces look like... 🤣🤣🤣 But those tiring faces is a sign of fun and another event that was added in our memory bank!!

So we ended our 27 hours getaway with a delicious Batchoy partnered with Puto... Hmmmm... thinking of it now makes me hungryy!!! 😋😋😋
