☀️Cannabis is actually illegal in the Netherlands despite the abundance of “coffeeshops” and the fact that 25-30% of all tourists visit one during their stay.
💧However authorities turn a blind eye to anyone holding less than 5 grams and allow coffeeshops to hold up to 500 grams while using a special permit to sell it.
🌳The coffeeshops are not allowed to purchase cannabis directly and must do it through a third party buyer who brings it through the door, ‘no questions asked’.
