A First Family Buddha Statues I met in Wun Ju Sa temple in Wha Sun Area

in travel •  6 years ago  (edited)

There were a bunch of Buddha statues under the cliff along the way to the temple.
Strangely enough, the statues were quite different from other statues.

The appearances of statues were quite similar to a family.
The statues looked like to be made after the family.

In my guess, people at that time wanted to make the family Buddha statues for wishing their good fortune and living in peace and health…

Nice photos of Buddha Statues! They like from history book!

@slowwalker,
Yeah it seems like a family! But I don't know whether this might be related to Gautham Buddha! Anyway it's another stunning photography that place that I have never seen before!

Cheers~

In front of the one on the right side, there are small rocks stacked up only in front of that one. I wonder what is the meaning of this?

Very cool photos of the family.

I have never seen nor heard about children! Isn't this a very uncommon occurrence? They appear to be as old as the ones in the post from several days ago.

I find the statues very interesting to explore further.

This family template status is very beautiful. These template is old .They had how much Daughter and son?

I believe even if we think that people in past were different but they were the same. The love to family and being together was greatly appreciated. The statues made with a lot of details so that the author wanted to show that. It is a hard work to carve the figures from stone but the master did really a great job.

It is a great status. :)

It's amazing to see the statue, I think it's definitely a family tree of a sort really if you ask me, the thing is these statues look very old and rigid and seeing it again on the temple shows just how rich the Wun Ju Sa temple really is, amazing shots again

As we know when we have a wish, we try to scratch our dream and wish. May be the "Buddhist Family" statue is to make the creator dream and wish come true. The need the wealth life and peaceful.
I bet these statues would be installed on a wall in their home.
thank you @slowwalker for sharing this beautiful post.
Warm regard from Indonesia

Very beautiful statues. I'm planning to visit the area in a couple of months, looking forward to it!

@slowwalker, Exactly I'm surprising to see these stone statues. Very similar to family as your explain. Down of the statues seems stone pagodas. It was small once. Very historical looks indeed.
