愛媛県松山市の道後温泉本館に行ってきました。
I went to Dogo Onsen Honkan(the main building of Dogo Onsen) in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture.
「千と千尋の神隠し」の舞台である『油屋』のモデルの一つと言われている温泉です。
また道後温泉は、「日本書記」にも登場する日本最古の温泉とも言われています。
It is said to be one of the models of “Abura-ya” which is the stage of "Spirited Away/Sen ti Chihiro no Kamikakushi“.
Dogo Onsen is also said to be the oldest hot spring in Japan that also appears in " Nihon-shoki (the oldest chronicles of Japan)".
まず最初に、皇室専用浴室「又新殿」 ( ゆうしんでん )を見学しました。
明治32年に作られたそうですが現在では使用されていないようです。
First of all, I visited the Imperial Family Bathroom “Yushinden”.
It seems that it was made in 1823, but it seems that it is not currently used.
撮影禁止のため、部屋の写真は撮ることができませんでした。上の写真は、「又新殿」の入り口を外から撮影したものです。
Because photography was prohibited, photos of the room could not be taken. The above picture is taken from the entrance of “Yushinden” from the outside.
また、夏目漱石ゆかりの「坊ちゃんの間」も見学しました。
In addition, I also saw Natsume Youseki's “Botchan No Ma/Botchan’s Room”.(“Botchan” is the title of Soseki Natsume's novel.It is a word that respects other people's boys in Japanese)
障子がカラフルです。
The shoji is colorful.(Shoji is a translucent screen made of a wooden frame covered with rice paper)
建物の中を見学した後は、ゆっくり温泉に入っていきました。
After observing the inside of the building, I slowly entered the hot spring.
帰り際には建物の外にある「玉の石」を見学しました。
After leaving the building, I saw “Tama No Ishi/Ball stone".
「玉の石」には次のような逸話があります
その昔、大国主命（おおくにぬしのみこと）と少彦名命（すくなひこなのみこと）が伊予の国を訪れたました。その際に病気になった少彦名命を道後の湯に浸したところ、たちまち元気になり「ましましいねたるかも（しばらく寝ていたようだ）」と叫んで、玉の石の上で舞ったということです。
“Tama No Ishi"has the following anecdotes.
Long ago, Okuninushi-No-Mikoto and Sukunahiko-No-Mikoto visited Iyo(The old name of Ehime prefecture). At that time, when Sukunahiko-No-Mikoto which became sick was soaked in hot spring of Dogo, he quickly became healthy and cried out that "I seemed to have been asleep for a while!" and danced on “Tama No Ishi".
