Mygp is a Web Application that is designed to help university/college students calculate their Grade Point Average(GPA) thereby eliminating the inaccuracy and stress involved when it is done manually.
University lecturers and staff advisers/course advisers are too busy most times to pay attention to calculating students grade point average per semester this gave birth to the idea of building an automatic Grade Point average calculator for both students, lecturers and staff advisers.

Before I cotinue let me share with you Screenshot of my signed in account on github repository for MyGP app.

Technical Overview:

MyGP was built with the following technologies;

1. PHP - PHP Hyper Processor: This is a Server Side Scripting Programming language that powers thousands of websites in the World Wide Web.
2. Bootstrap 3: This is a web framework that comprises HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It is used to enhance the responsiveness of the app(Mobile Compatibility).
3. HTML - Hypertext Markup Language: This is the skeleton of the all that is visible to the eyes.
4. CSS - Cascading Stylesheet: It gives the web app its beauty and arrangement/positioning of contents.
5. JavaScript: This is Client Side Scripting programming language that gives app its interactivity.
6. jQuery: This is a JavaScript library that makes it easier to use JavaScript.

Features of MyGP:

1. The software was built to calculate a maximum of thirteen(13) courses, it can also calculate for lesser number of courses without restrictions and with accuracy. Universities don't offer more than 13 courses per semester that is why the maximum number of course calculation is 13.

2. User Friendly interface: the software is easy to use and requires no special or external skills.

3. Mobile Compatibility: MyGP can adjust itself to fit in any device which are: Desktop Computers, Laptops, Tablets, Phablets, Mobile phones etc.

4. Accuracy: It has been tested by many university students and the result obtained corresponds with that of the manual calculation.

5. Time Saving: It saves the time involved in using calculators to add, subtract, divide and multiply numbers as this is one of the prerequisite of ICT.

In addition, I graduated from the university(college) with a 4.13 CGPA(Cumulative Grade Point Average) which was suppose to be 4.32 CGPA. This is because my course adviser made a mistake while calculating my GPA. If I was in a weak Second Class Upper Division Grade, his mistake would have reduced my grade to a Second Class Lower Division but with MyGP application such problems are being solved.

I believe one of the aim of ICT(Information Communication Technology) is to the change the world and making it a better place. This can only be done by creating problem solving applications and softwares which I believe MyGP is not an exception.
