The Biggest Build Yet
Thought I would share the latest update to the highly anticipated WhaleCraft 2.0 and newest addition to Hill Valley WhaleTopia. Introducing Doc's Dock.
As much of my build is still ongoing, I decided to put some concentration into the shaw line of Hill Valley as that is what people will see first. So next to my train station I decided that I would create a modern/futuristic looking ship dock.
I took inspiration from a 1-minute video I had watched on YouTube and then just started block by block.
At first, I was quite defeatist, like when you decide to redecorate but then slowly realize you have wished you never started. But I powered through and now it is the best build so far.
Lets Take a Tour
This is the outside of the building and I have gone for an upper-level carpark and rear entrance which brings you into the building from above and onto a balcony that overlooks the main terminal.
This took me the longest to build as I struggled to keep it symmetric. I added trees and lights to give the outside some clean looking character. At this point, I did not know what I was going to do for an interior.
I knew I wanted some benches in which you can see in the above picture but a big build like this deserves more than just a few seats. After much deliberation, I came up with a plan...
A Food Court
So I thought about Airports and train stations and thought what would they have inside? and then it came to me. Food courts. So I started creating a bar area and after 1 hour (ok maybe a little longer) I created this...
I love the beer pumps and pictures of beers on the walls. The other pictures glow and they are bar stools and a seating area too. But what about food?
Do not fear because McFly's Burger Restaurant is here and has a smoking grill, chip friers, and a real working orangeade machine (ok its lava but shhh dont spoil the illusion) along with its own seating area too.
After all that drink and food it would be nice to have a nap well...
At Doc's Dock, you can do just that so if you need a bed and a new respawn point then here is the place for you. Now when you die and respawn you can start right here at the begging of Hill Valley (better than starting back in the Maze)
And how do I top all that well how about a real working water fountain...
There You have it. It surely has been a big build and I dread tackling the school and twin pines mall but these things must be done. I am going to stop there as one should not know too much about their own future (as doc brown says)
I hope you have enjoyed my latest update and be sure to follow the progress as we head back and forward through time to build what will be the best Hill Valley ever!
