I DO have to point out for everybody that Ju-Jitsu is actually a traditional Japanese self-defense system developed for the samurai. Ju-Jitsu was supposed to be used if the samurai would lose his/her weapon and was fairly effective against armored opponents because of its focus on throws, locks, and strangulation. Ju-Jitsu is the forebear of Judo and some styles of Karate. The Brazillian school of Ju-Jitsu is the more popular one today and is focused on the "Ne-Waza" elements (grappling) of traditional Ju-Jitsu. Peace!
