Listen to the song below while reading for a more refined impact if you're using a computer or laptop.

We all want a job that provides a sense of freedom. A job that is not soul-sucking, you know the typical 9-5 job that everyone gripes about. However, in order to escape that job and have true freedom, we are going to have to be responsible. I assume by now if you have been following me you know that I have a website and a steemit profile. Now I enjoy writing very much as it gives me a sense of freedom that is unparalleled and I would love for this to be my dream job. It’s something that I actively dream and talk about constantly. I feel at peace and all my worries and thoughts fade away and I just enter a state of ”zen” or ”bliss”. Let me give you an example of this, one day I was walking to work and it takes me about 40 minutes from my home to my job. And as I was walking I put on some relaxing music and started writing my steemit post. The weather was warm, the sun shining on me and the music was just right, I felt as if I was literally walking through a golden tunnel. That to me is freedom.

Now let's say that my website and steemit profile became my full source of income. That would be fantastic instead of working 13 hour days I would only work 3 hours every day. I would still have to work 3 hours every day though. I could not take a break even for one day and say ” well I don’t feel like writing today”. I would have to make out a list of ideas with which to write about. And have constant creative thoughts to put into action. Now, this would be fun for me but the point being I would have to adhere to a very strict schedule. And this would be kinda difficult in the beginning because I'm not used to it, and also because I would want to spend a certain amount of time relishing the fact that I escaped the rat race.

It’s like @valorforfreedom says you have to write every day and not let up. I am guilty of not writing every day but I try to write most days or when I can. That’s why I am excited about pocket steem university because I think there must be other people who are working long hours and don’t always have the time to write a steemit post. And if I can make their lives a little easier by giving them a better maybe more efficient/alternative way of writing posts that would help them save time well that would be worth it for me. So, in conclusion, we must always strive towards the freedom we all want but don’t forget that we will still have to handle the responsibilities that will come with our new found freedom.

I am still working on my project and putting in the table of contents today. I am setting it up like a book so it’s easier to keep track of it

That's part of the process. Everything in life your need to be consistent. And that applies also to steemit specially if you haven't yet reached a good reputation.

But the good thing is that you can set up your own hours - no more 9 to 5. You are your own own boss. And you can scale because you are the owner of your path.

It is definitely not easy but you can get there, I believe with determination and preservation, @remelsy :) Now that you have found Steemit that pays you for writing, this is achievable! All the best to you and your projects! Consistency will be the very key.

I believe you have to strike a balance between writing posts and commenting. Maybe 60% writing posts and 40% commenting. I find commenting much easier as you can write one or two comments in five minutes spread throughout the day. Pick a small number of people, say 15, who are active, writing about something you are interested in and then keep an eye on your feed to find posts you can comment on.

This tends to be a dream of most people, to be your own boss and set your own hours of work. However, being your own boss doesn't necessarily lead to a reduction in hours worked. In many cases it can have exactly the opposite effect.
