It took me 30 minutes to get out of bed. Ugh… I knew I had a long day ahead of me.
One thing leads to another, coffee then goal writing then spiritual stuff then yoga. It’s the same everyday which makes it a lot easier believe it or not!
Then I did some writing…
Yesterday was one of those good writing days. I had some idea of what I was going to write and was actually kind of excited to write. Let me know what you think about it. (Post below)

Pretty soon I was heading out the door and Later on in the day someone asked me if I get up early on the week ends. Yes, I said.
Then they asked, “How do you do it?”
I thought about it and just said, “…it’s a habit.”
My day went well. I was a bit groggy from getting up early but over all I had decent energy. However after I got home from a 13 hour day, I crashed hard on the bed.
I was like most students in University…. I did the whole “university” thing. Staying up late, going out late, getting up as late as possible. Hanging with friends, eating horrible foods and in general not taking care of myself. In short I used to party and my the major I chose was at times stressful as I had a lot to do. I don’t regret it, I had fun and enjoyed my classes the company of my friends very much!
I party now days as well, but in a different way…
Delayed gratification
It’s said that successful people are usually good at delaying gratification. Which is very interesting to me because I was the opposite in my younger years.
Now days, Instead of grabbing a cheeseburger I try to go for the plants. The cheeseburger would give me an immediate gratification but by eating mostly plants the gratification is delayed and I know I will feel better for hours and days after if choose the fruits and veggies.
Yoga is the same. Doing yoga in the morning, which takes time and energy but I know If I do my yoga then I’ll have more energy and my outlook of the day will be brighter than if I sat and mindlessly watched youtube videos.
Get up early can change your life.
If I get up in the morning and get stuff done the rest of my day could get sidetracked.
However, If I get stuff done in the morning then it doesn’t feel so bad if things go wrong later on.
Sets the tone… I heard this one years ago. If you eat some junk food for breakfast then watch some mindless youtube videos then you less likely to work out later on, you won’t have as much energy later on and your mood might even be off. However if you eat some fruit and oatmeal and hit the gym or go for a run, the opposite is true. You’re more likely to have a little more energy, your mood will be brighter, and you’re more likely to kick a– on the job.
