Zakat Fitrah is the obligatory self-charity of every individual Muslim man and woman who is capable with the conditions set.
The word Fitrah which refers to the human condition when newly created so that by issuing this charity man with the permission of Allah will return fitrah.
Zakat recipients are generally set in 8 groups / asnaf (fakir, poor, amil, muallaf, servant sahaya, gharimin, fisabilillah, ibnu sabil) but according to some special scholars for zakat fitrah should precede to the first two fakir and poor.
This opinion is based on the reason that the amount / value of zakat is very small while one of the goals of the abundance of zakat fitrah is for the poor and needy to participate in celebrating the feast and sharing fellow Muslims.
