πŸš€ What Cryptos do YOU Own? πŸš€ January, 10th

in bitcoin β€’Β  7 years agoΒ  (edited)

πŸš€ Every week, I decided to update the different cryptocurrencies I own and would like to ask you which one do you believe in the most in your respective wallet. πŸš€

This is the 16th weekly: "What cryptos do You own?"

  • As I work in finance, Stock Markets polls are very useful for fund managers to understand what investors own because they currently like it and what they do not.
  • Usually, in the Stock Market, it is not very good to own a stock that everybody owns; it means that most investors bought it already and therefore, future demand will be low.
  • Whereas understanding which one are under owned is very useful in case a positive news is released on the stock. Since a few investors own it, they will rush to buy some and the price will increase significantly.

My current portfolio and reasons why I own these cryptos:

I also take leveraged positions on some altcoins (EOS, IOTA and LTC).
To the notice, I sold all my Ripple at $3+ as the Mkt Cap was bigger than Bitcoin (CoinMarketCap.com did not take the total XRP supply but only the traded ones so close to 50% of the Total)

Cryptocurrencies that I used to own

  • Steem: If you read this, you know why. I am still mad that I did not buy more at <1$
  • Eosio (EOS): I believe in Dan Larimer; he already developped 2 great projects (Steem and Bitshares) and as the Co-founder of Steemit on @SGTReport said about Dan larimer and its EOS ICO: β€œThe people who say that there is no product yet, Dan has built 2 of them if they think he’s not gonna build the 3rd one, they’re crazy. This is the one he always wanted. The other 2 were just helping him get there”. EOS is showing some nice upward trend recently. I can see some β€œWhales” are stacking them.
  • Ethereum (ETH): In my opinion, it has been the most exciting project in cryptos so far. This project has been copied or inspire many other hot cryptos (NEO, EOS...). Devon3 gathering brought a lot of visibility on Ethereum's next improvements especially on the scalability issue.
  • Siacoin (SC): Siacoin is a solution that allow companies to use storage in a decentralize on Siacoin network. β€œMiners” are renting their storage capacity. It is 5-10x less expensive than with traditional companies as Amazon Web Services, Google, etc…
  • STORJ: Same business plan as Siacoin, smaller Market Capitalisation and recently the company announced that it β€œfroze” some of its tokens as they will not need it in the next 6months+ to finance the development of the platform. This is a good sign as it tells us the team is feeling confident to have β€œall it needs” to deliver what the market expects.
  • Mysterium (MYST): * The company is developing a Blockchain VPN. As China is trying to implement its Great Internet Wall before 2018, this would block VPN based technology. This project could offer a solution to Chinese and even other people to have more privacy while browsing through the internet
  • Golem (GNT): It is a cryptocurrency allowing you to use the calculating power of the computers connected to its blockchain network. This is useful for companies looking to rent some calculating power for a project, etc…
  • Augur (REP): I just like the prediction market project. They have a good team of developers and seem to work very hard on this project. And last but not least but they keep you updated on a weekly basis and were at Devcon3 recently.
  • Basic Attention Token (BAT): It radically improves the efficiency of digital advertising by creating a BAT coin that can be exchanged between publishers, advertisers, and users.

Cryptocurrencies that I used to own

  • Ripple (XRP): Signed most of the TOP50 banks and is runned very professionally. It is working with Chinese partners on many projects.
  • Stratis (STRAT): Stratis offers full service capabilities for the development, deployment and management of blockchain applications and solutions utilizing C#.Stratis tries to make it easier for companies, organisations or other entities to develop a blockchain app.
  • Ethereum Classic (ETC): I think it is undervalued, dapps and other projects are using it as the Ethereum network is getting crowded.

My Portfolio on December, 27th

I am long Altcoins and still not interested by BTC

Bitcoin was the first Crypto, but… I always preferred Altcoins (EOS, SC, GLM, XRP, REP…).

Finally, What crypto should I look into at the moment?

And you, What do YOU own?

DENT, CVCoin, TRX, ARDR, PPT, CNX, XEM, CLOAK are all at at least small buy levels right now (If I didn't already own them). I would be stocking up on CVCoin as it is a privacy coin and is going to hit HitBTC very soon.

Thank you for sharing your portfolio.
CVCoin is the one you are the most excited about then?

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

That is the one I think will be moving up quickly and soon. I'm long on DENT but already got an X7 off of it versus ETH while ETH has gone up huge in comparison to BTC. I converted directly to BTC because when that coin moves, the whole market feels it. I'm probably at about 60-70% BTC holding right now because lack of awesome buy opportunities. All that is committed to flash crash buys on lots of the coins I mentioned and more.

Great explanation, I will look at it tonight ;).
Take care and come back to chat when you feel like it !

Hey Vlemon, impressive portfolio. My coin collection at the moment is. Steem, MOAT, LALA, CoinMetro, DIMCOIN, Stealthcoin, Bankera and Dentacoin and I want to add Bee Token to the collection when the ICO starts.

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

Wow, we have almost no coins in common ^^.
I see a lot of people talking about the DENT? Could you tell me in one sentence what it does?
Which on in your list are you the most excited about?
Take care @xervantes

I recently started keeping track; although small, it gives me perspective.

I am hoping to add some steem soon

I just made a post showing BTC touching the tip of it's triangle after breaking out, along with an example picture of what happens in a symmetric triangle.

and BTC's current standing;

I believe we are at a bottom.

Tron, Reddcoin, Peerplays, Etherparty, Qvolta and Cindicator, look them up!

Thank you for the comment!
TRON? What about the founder selling a lot of coins and accusation of code plagiarism ?
(I do not have any opinion on this coins but would like to hear yours)

Β  Β· Β 7 years agoΒ

My understanding is that TRON is just a whitepaper at the moment. Not sure how to you can plagiarize code on open source software. The coin has massive hype and an inspirational purpose, which is better than what BTC is getting right now. It is also down like 60%+ from its ATH.

What about the founder selling a lot of coins

He clarified that it was not him.

I don't know if it makes sense but I'm going long on crypto so I always have my main bulk in big 3: BTC, ETH, LTC. I own STEEM/SBD (duh), GNT, TRST, and earning some minor coins on the side.

Used to own a little bit of XMR (Monero) but I sold when it hit $100. Alt coins are pretty risky so I'm not too big into it. Some gains are nice, I'm just not good at taking major risk.

By the way, I think Golem token name is GNT, not GLM.

Thank you for sharing your HODLings and your experience.
Indeed you are right about Golem ;)

Thank you @vlemon for this amazing post. I only own BTC at the moment. Upvoted fully through steemfollower!

What, no dash?

IOTA , STR, OKcash , Electronuem ,ETC , and RIPPLE :) and going good so far with all of them. what about you vlemon.

Nice post. As for now I closed my Sia-Position cause there is a lot of trouble with transactions and lost coins. Storj is also nice but you till now have not the option to pay with storjcoin.
I believe in xzc's potencial to make 10x in 6-12 months beeing not that risky on the other side: https://zcoin.io/
Neo is a long hold as it is still growing and may even have a solid stand in 1-2 years from now.
TenX(Pay) I baught in the dip. A working solution for crypto-cash-Out.
And very hot for short to middle-term hold appc as it has a lot of room to grow https://appcoins.io/ - and also it comes trustworthy and could take a good share on the gigantic App-Market.

Very good portfolio! I am in on a lot of coins, but my main ones are:

Omisego, litecoin, electroneum, Civic. The rest of my portfolio is made up of smaller percentages and have about 4% of my overall portfolio in ICOs.

I've been thinking more and more about getting in to Storj. I wrote a post about it today from a non biased point of view, and I really like how the platform has been proposed.

It is a sound investment decision to diversify one's crypto portfolios. There are up coming altcoins that are very promising.
