THE NEW SECURE PROOF OF STAKE NETWORK

Individuals and firms have developed a great deal of interest in utilizing the blockchain infrastructure to solving real world problems.

Some of the reasons why the blockchain and cryptocurrencies are gaining so much traction are it operates on a decentralized architecture, solves trust issues and breaks national boundaries, it also guarantees security of assets and ensures transparency of transactions. The advantages and benefits of the blockchain cannot be overestimated, some consider it as the 8th wonder of the world.

Sharding is an integral aspect of the blockchain as it ensures its full scale functionality. Sharding helps to cut down the amount of data users need to get into the network and verify transactions. This translates to offer a much more updated reliable, and scalable network.

Elrond is poised to offer a formidable blockchain network with a new state sharding infrastructure embedded in it. This is different and unique compared to what is obtainable in the blockchain space.

It has been designed to provide a scalable and highly secure network that does not consume a lot of energy nor waste computational resource. It runs a Secure Proof of Stake (SPoS) consensus. This is an improvement on existing blockchain that are known to use the Proof of Work that consumes a lot more energy.

Elrond's state sharding system yields super results and has proven to be more powerful by dividing the blockchain and account into numerous shards, effectively managed by various validators participating on the network.

Elrond employs users and nodes in splitting and merging the shards to curb latency and communication issues required in maintaining the system. Users comprise of actors within an account address while nodes are the collection of computers and other related devices put into use to run the Elrond network.

The Elrond network has been empowered with a protective coating to combat security breaches and threats such as the popular but destructive DDoS attack, Sybil attacks, Nothing at stake attacks, transaction censorship, double spend and a host of other attacks perpetrated by cyber criminals.
