My 2019: The last 2019 Showcase Weekend - MSF (Movie, Sport and Food).

I have been in the Steemit family for just over two years now and during that time I have been actively participating in this platform and, as far as possible, trying to bring in new people. But here in Brazil, the blockchain system is not yet as popular as it should be (considering that the Brazilian population is huge and certainly would cause a large increase in Steemit propagation, for example) and the visibility of Brazilians is not as good as expected.

This is clearly reflected in how difficult it is to be recognized by major projects and high voting users here (follows / upvotes / rewarsds) but I stick around here. However, it's been a while since I changed my strategy and I don't do my publications only in Portuguese (I also write the same post in English and Spanish). This has brought me good results... But the walk is not so simple and the three posts that I particularly consider to be three of my best posts this year prove it: they are very good, but very undervalued.

The idea of this challenge that I'm writing at this moment is very interesting in so many ways, but mainly because it offers anyone who decides to participate a way of traveling on their Steemit timeline and see what should be kept in their writing and what needs to be changed, what it worked and what needs to be improved... It's like a reflective analysis of your road around here.

#01. #FILMOTECA# - "Roma" (2018)

Daily Express

Upvotes: 19 | Reward: $0.61

Anyone who follows my blog knows that I am one of my most frequent publications is about Cinema (or variants related to this theme). In particular, I love writing film reviews (new and old) because it's the kind of content that makes me motivated to write (improving my writing, especially in other languages) and inspiring other people to watch movies.

As a true movie addict, being able to impact other people with my way of writing is amazing, and it's hard to even try to explain using words. This post I selected (which is written only in Portuguese because at the time I didn't write in any other languages) is one of my favorite 2018 movies and I wrote this review before the 2019 Oscar.

After writing a post with such pleasure and attention not being well recognized so it's very frustrating, but as I've written many blogs before, I can say that I'm used to, but never conformed... And that's one of the reasons that keeps me around writing and propagating my ideas because I know that even though comments don't come up in the amount I want, many people are reading what I write.

#02. Gustavo Kuerten: A Brazilian Tennis Myth.

Tribuna do Sertão

Upvotes: 21 | Reward: $0.09

Another type of content that I enjoy writing and always try to participate in initiatives that I believe I can add value to are the contests that many users and projects post throughout the year. In particular, this post of mine about one of my sport celebrities (that was the theme of @rokyupjung's challenge) was something I worked hard to write and the feedback (both interactive and financial) was not what I expected.

The good news is: In this challenge and with this post, I was one of the winners... So my work was not a complete waste of time, haha! In every contest I participate, I feel motivated to participate more because... One way or another, I always have something to win because I consider this kind of initiative to be a very important tool to stimulate and keep the gears of this platform running at full throttle (or at least paving the way for this to happen).

Promoting contests was something I did along my Steemit journey so far, and next year I also hope to be able to do more and attract more people to participate. So far, my visibility to this is very limited, but I plan to continue promoting more contests very soon (and obviously it will be about Cinema / Movies).

#03. A traditional Brazilian food called "Tapioca".

NiT

Upvotes: 74 | Reward: $0.25

One of the things I enjoy doing most in life is eating, but cooking isn't exactly something that I consider myself good at doing. However, this does not stop me from writing about some foods I like and although I have hardly done it here at Steemit, I have tried to talk about one of the most popular foods here in Brazil (especially in some regions where culture is more traditional): It's called Tapioca.

That was a very good way that I found to talk about food and show a little of the culture of my country. The culinary tradition here is very strong and this is one of the most striking examples, because the food is delicious and has a dynamic in its preparation that allows so many changes, but always maintaining the essence.

Well... The result of the post was bitter, but the pleasure of writing it was definitely not. Talking about food is always a great pleasure for me and I hope I can write to show more of my country through it because this is one of the best, easiest and funniest ways to do it !!in a language that is easily understood everywhere.
