Hidden Contests and the start of the Small Fish Games! - All are welcome to join!

Steemit.com is definitely a site, it is a site that allows us to visualize the steem blockchain. The steem blockchain, with its related tokens, has the potential to do so much more, to host thousands of sites. Usually people mention busy.org at this point, which also sees the same blockchain and visualizes us earning the same tokens.

But the key point is....Steemit is not the product, and might not even be lasting. All of what we are seeing on steemit is something deeper, locked into the chain. Thats one of the reasons the User Interface is so questionable, and last year they separated their logos.

And people do indeed use them interchangeably! Of course, its usually because they are still working towards the part where they understand the difference, surely very few of us ever fully understand everything, we just keep talking and learning I suspect.

This part is going to become more and more important, but even now, users can earn quite a bit more by posting from any of the other interfaces, because busy, or actifit, or letseat or utopian or musing.io or steemhunt or dlike or dlive or dtube will potentially give an additional upvote for using their frontend product to interact with the steem blockchain.

Have you been introduced to the writers block? They are working on a frontend as well....

There are so many, I can hardly keep track in my own head, which is why I like talking about it to other great users like you!

Yeah, there are so many which really does make it mindboggling! I like to keep things simple, lol. Otherwise, it's just too many directions at once. I use eSteem now. Dbooks is currently reinventing itself (hopefully into something that will work better than the first version.)

Yes, I'm in the Writer's Block group - I tend to forget about it a lot though because it's like everything else - keeping up is almost impossible. My writing may or may not work with them because they're looking for novel-length material (which I don't prefer) and are unlikely to be able to do my full series. However, for standalones like Chimera which I presented for their Chapter One contest, it would be of interest.

Okay, I really have to finish my Daily Sneak submission, then get onto writing.

That's alright! Thank you for continuing to interview with me here, and I am glad to have you participating on the small fish games! Don't let me keep you from anything, I can totally understand that you have other, important things to do!

If you ever do have time again, what additional tools are you using for steem? Do you use something like steemnow.com?

I primarily use steemworld.org
I'm almost gone now - though GINAbot makes sure I stay connected, lol.
I've done a good job curating today, taking my VP back down to almost 75% (below my 0.02 cutoff, anyway) - Daily Sneak coming up next.

Chat more later. I'm on Discord as well.

I love the daily sneak! I even put out an advertisement for it in the Thank you Economy Conest but it doesn't seem like there are that many people willing to put in the work!

Do you prefer chatting by comments or chatting by discord?

I think it's silly that people aren't willing to do the Daily Sneak. I can't think of an easier way to 5 SBD, honestly! Okay, a little more work than the PIFC, I guess, but for a minnow like myself with an entirely earned account, this bonus is huge! It's also the only way I can afford to keep using Minnowbooster since I can't be curied every week!

Regular chatting I prefer on Discord. Steem-related chat is perfectly suited to comments for the most part.

I totally agree! It is a great boost - I think you might be a redfish! But that's okay, they are just words made up by someone anyway.

And I agree, I do like to try not to spend so many words typing into discord, when I could be locking my conversations into the blockchain! Future anthropologists may study this conversation!

Hey where does your name, Viking Ventures, come from? Sounds like an interesting story!

What defines a redfish anyway? These rankings are still fairly weird and incongruous.

Future anthropologists are going to have psychiatric problems if they have to go through everything on the blockchain!

Viking - for my Viking heritage. My mom's side of the family is more-or-less 100% Scandinavian... Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and even some Finnish, mostly in that order. I've always felt closer to that part of my ancestry (less than 100 years ago, after all) than my other European ancestors.
I've been using Viking as my user names for probably 20 years or more (my ebay user name was one of the first.)

Ventures because I was developing a brand name that I could use for everything I ever want to do - from Viking Visual (photography and graphic art) and A'mara Books to anything else I want to do.

Not really super exciting, but it works and the Viking part especially has sort of become me...

Very cool story behind your name! It suits you ;p
I like the idea of a name to fit everything, now I try to use this username for everything. Apparently not everyone can pronounce it though, lots of people see e-coin and stumble from there.

I believe that the original definitions were done in vests, so it might hace shifted the sp amounts, but redfish are users from 50-499 sp. When you get that slider you become a minnow! Then I think its pretty straightforward, dolphin at 5000+, orca at 50,000+ and whale at 500,000+.

I like the ventures, is A'mara books your publishing company?
