Yesterday we went to do a few hard efforts up some local climbs here in Plettenberg Bay. The first one went well but the second was a real fight to hold the wheel the whole way up. To make things worse these three dogs ran up to us and were nipping at our ankles 400m or so from the finish. I lost focused and dropped off. My mate Juan ignored them and kept going. That is what this video is about.
I shouted and the dogs and lost about 10m on Juan. By the time I caught up to him I was exhausted and when he did a final surge to the top I couldn't hold the wheel.
It was a very good training ride and a learning lesson on how to stay focused on your goal regardless of your surroundings. I talk more about it in the video.
