EOS.IO Development Update

in eos •  7 years ago  (edited)

Downvoted for aggrandizement.

edit:

The Streisand Effect here is intentional.

The vote and comment was strictly to make a point and draw out Daniel's long-running, subtextual, subversive intent to compete with Steem, to give the public alignment with his private discourse, which has long been filled with express intent to compete. And of course I will retract the vote.

Dan left Steem expressly to create a competitor to Steem and is advertising it with a supposed “inside track” to the future here on our platform while acting like he is no competitor. And whether he leaves the platform for good today or 6 months from now to join his Steem-competitor depends on if we choose to see through his intentions and care. It’s possible I am making the mistake of caring. It’s hard to really say until these platforms have existed for a while 10 months from now. I would prefer to ship our tokenization platform, Smart Media Tokens (SMTs), which outcompetes any version eos can string together, and get moving without Dan clouding the marketplace. He asked me for the same months ago. This is reasonable and all business. I vastly prefer Steem and SMTs.

I think I'm going to have a cardiac arrest if @ned gets another vote

If comments could show on 'trending', that comment will top the list

This is incredible!. @dan and his team are selfless hardworkers sharing educative EOS information to make steemit better and give minnows like me a better understanding about cryptos. I hope this fued between @ned and @dan ends soon.

I think we can clearly see the difference in principles between @ned and @dan.

🤔 Yep. I understand everyone including Ned is entitled to their opinion, but he basically just STOLE $2,641.80 from the rewards pool which is counterproductive on a "declined payout post".

To that point please DO NOT upvote my comment.

Using a corporate account without stakeholder awareness no less. As a transparent organization on the block chain accountable to our community, we see you, Ned.

@steempowerpics, yes, I agree with you. It's indeed counterproductive especially to minnows like me.🤷

That says it all for me. @dan declined almost all payouts.

This is a HUGE shame for steemit? When i joined last July the phrase's reward pool rape and flagging war were unheard of. Now its rampant. I wonder, is it just that greed has risen along with the price of steem?

Now its rampant. I wonder, is it just that greed has risen along with the price of steem?

I think the statement explains it.

This is a an incredible occasion! @ned got a huge comment upvote from @misterdelegation who 2 days ago just got a huge steempower delegation from the @steemit account... impressive...

2 days ago Receive 5,998,818.995 STEEM POWER from steemit

Bots behaving badly! ... seems a number commenting here are expressing concern, not so much on the tremendous EOS development update being exaggerated or not. ... attention is drawn to the rights and wrongs of self voting highlighting issues relating to draining of the reward pool and possible solutions threw designs of better, fairer, far more advanced systems for the curation of content, generalized models built on EOSIO's custom content framework.

"The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new" - Socrates

No idea wtf is going on, but for posting a MBH clip you receive my huge 100% upvote of err 0.17 :-)

0.17 is 0.14 better than my vote. :-)

the problem is that this was never supposed to actually be a blog chain but rather a mutual aid chain where people can upvote what they want based on the value they believe they will receive.

Since consensus was given to a man with no vision this is where we stand on the first use for MAS.

self upvoting is not the problem. the problem is that noone should be able to downvote without potential consequences.

remember if i didnt have stake...i'd basically be unable to build anything because ned and other whales have seen to it to scare the shit out of anyone who might upvote me.

And where would that lead us other than dissempowering people like me who actually work to get things done? :/

Have fun catching up to steem and it's first movers advantage

And my account is right here as broke ass with my posts struggling around 0.71$ on a dedicated write-up.

Well done

Nice business strategy @ned

LOL 100% upvote for broke-assness.

Amazing... This deserves an award.

This just took my eyes directly to this:

That's the problem with some self-appointed 'policemen' on this platform ... they are at least as greedy as the people they accuse to be it.

is complete and utter bullshit. The point of steempower is to pay for those projects with your upvote. What makes you think he's honestly giving the money to them directly?

Nothing, just sharing his explanation.

Oh...... Thank you

oh there's actually provision for this

I tap into this, the use upvotes is beyond what i have ever seen...

TIL... payout_comments is a thing. TY @ausbitbank!

Snazzy

Those are some insightful comments fully deserving of every penny they drained.

Nice I had no idea about that thank you!

My jaw dropped a few months ago when ned upvoted himself $600 for a two lined comment. I should have taken a screenshot back then before it got flagged. This time I didn't miss it.
Today rules them all. Is this a competition with grumpycat?

Seriously? Ned upvoted himself for a two line comment and he is now downvoting @dan who declined payment? This is wickedness with total disregard for consequences.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

These are interesting times.

Seriously, this is a totally new level of aggrandizement

aggrandizement is the new buzzword.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Misappropriation of corporate resources is a better new word. ;)

Hahahahahaha this explains it all.

Oh really! This is not nice at all.

Indeed this is amazingly beautiful, this explains more on network bandwidth and cpu.nice [email protected] for sharing. upvoted.

Wickedness, don't you think that is a little over the top?

It is more of a stunt or a battle of egos?

I tried getting the screen shot now when I heard Ned upvoted himself for a two line comment this is very bad and wickedness of the highest order..a friend of mine told me that
its bad to downvote a post because it reflects bad quality to the post ...so why down vote? If you have any issues solve it amicably because we are following your steps ..Dan keep.up the good work

Upvote for two line comment where I struggle to get up to $1 in my 1k+ posts.... life is not fair atall

Seriously though, is there something they are not saying? The work @dan and his team have done is immense and can only benefit Steem! Why the down vote by @ned? There's got to be more to it than aggrandizement

Certainly @mosunomotunde but one thing is for sure what ever might have happened that has led to this, no matter the magnitude, it can be put behind by allowing love lead. Both @dan and @ned are two great inventors that has made this idea called Steemit change thousands of lives. I only hope all these doesn't have a negative effect that might lead to regrets later on. #LetLoveLead

I only hope @ned and @dan can see how much vision their project steemit has birthed, maybe they will see themselves in a new light. Steemit is changing the world and you two have made it possible. Love should just lead you two and help put all the bad times behind. You both are bigger and better than this. Please, let love guide you.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

I agree with you @thelovejunkie Love conquers all. @dan and @ned should see beyond differences and look at the bigger picture of the greatness we're builiding.#ONELOVE

let love lead. I beliv they can still fix everything wrong. United we stand

Really. Where I make a post of 1k words and still struggle to get up to $1. It's appalling though

$600 Upvote for two line comment where I struggle to get up to $1 in my 1k+ posts.... life is not fair atall . I swear

You're missing a zero there @drakos , i think that particular self upvote was more like 6000

OMG. What is really happening?

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

600$ is a pretty large sum.

And I wouldn't say this is fair in the most negligible of senses at least for the fact that he declined his payment which points quite explicitly to the fact that he's not after the cash.

But who am I to judge? Maybe there are other reasons attached.
I even just got to know that they were both having a fued. Guess I have been inactive for a long time.

By the way, I love your meme/image. It's just spot on @drakos

I can't wait for the whale complaining on eos to be similar situation. When everyone thinks the whale problem is unique to the steem blockchain. Steems wealth is similar to USD wealth distribution, with the exception of the steem owned by steemit inc. but then ripple, stellar and Bitcoin all have original creators holding a massive chunk.

That's what I can't understand, why he's getting so many upvotes.
And thank you Dan for what you've been doing. You and your development team have really put in some good work. Looking forward to it

I don't think downvoting @dan was right. He already declined payment and yet was downvoted.

He and his team are building something amazing. He just gave details about it, downvoting him aint cool.

You guys @ned and @dan are both doing great things. Why the public fight.

Exactly, they've created something great here.
Hopefully they'll sort this out in a better way

I Hope they do that .

Why downvote @dan when he's putting in so much effort in developing a software that's beneficial for everyone? It's personal feuds like this that slow down the progress of the general public.

oh god, such payout on a comment..
And why is he downvoting on @dan.
They're doing a great thing ..
Some people just can't appreciate good things

It baffles me really why @ned had to do that... Everyone should be abreast of all that this post is about which is a new development. His comment has just deviated everyone's attention form the real deal and it's saddening. Well great job @dan and whatever the difference between you both is, I pray you resolve it on time.

The elephants are at war!

Yeah. Right

Lol
Hahahahahaha...

This comment should be nominated for the best comment of the month awards

Yeah Yeah I haven't seen anything this real in a long time. @Dan you rock!

Lol, @berylwills, the votes might not stop coming, many are show either their agreement or disagreement to what @ned sees on @dan information, so let it be a traffic arrest and not cardiac, lol....

Don't worry we have steemit Clinic and steemit doctors here, where you will be treated... Lol

Please@ned why are you getting so much upvote for ruining someone else's post , its unfair.....i beg you to reconsider..

hahahaha

I will ignore the fued here and concentrate on the message in the post . Eos is. The new innovation and its changging lifes.

Or yours, it’s worth 2 weeks of my daily articles:)

My thought too. 💪Steem on boss

lol....

pretty sure he got some more after that

Wow

I think I would have an apoplexy if he got any more. So much applause for a down vote. Freaky stuff😅

Lol, please don't oh but i think this comment is showing on trending tho. Check http://steemit.com/payout_comment. Quite surprised if i must say

@berykwills I think you are right about @ned because the cash out is no longer an alert but an alarm I just wish I could get a a Vote from you at @ned abeg help your boy oooo

Where does it hurt, Ma'am?!

Trust me, I'm a doctor.

Catweasel-c.png

May be we i guess we all will get the stroke and he will be the only guy standing in the list ... He desrves it 3000 is comin tho

Wow.. Unbelievable.. Just one line comment and boom $2k+ and struggle to even get up to $1 upvote in my 1k+ posts in my blog... This life is not fair Atall.. Finally, I now agree to the saying The rich gets richer and I'll become the rich someday here on Steemit.. I just have to never give up and keep steeming hard.

Lol. . I tell you

Please don't, coz I just gave him another...

He got more. How's your heart now? Lol

Wait a minute... Downvote @dan, who declines payouts and tries to downvote people who rapes the reward pool on Steemit...?

I guess something really awkward must have happened before Dan decided to leave. I obviously wish both of you the best of luck and I'll never forget my first couple of weeks on Steemit. Those were without a question the best experience I've ever had online.

  • Damn, sometimes, I truly miss the good old days.

Brother first thing is that he decides to decline the payout and he also helps other people, in this way he contributes to the steemit community for the overall betterment. He deserves respect and so do those people who are in support. Thank you.cheers

I couldn't agree less. What @dan has created is amazing and he needs to be celebrated. Why down vote such an incredible development.

Honestly the down vote by @ned is most baffling especially because @dan already declined payout! There is definitely a lot of intrigue going on that we are unaware of. @dan should be congratulated for this achievements not the other way round.

@hitmeasap i also miss the good old days of steeemit, i really applauded @dan for his good work on my introductory post.
only for me to wake up this sunday morning and encounter this

Even though I appreciate your comment... But what you and I are talking about is not the same thing.

You say "the good old days" and you've been a member since January 2018. When I say that I miss the "good old days", I'm taking about how it was way back in July 2016, when I signed up.

the fact that he declined payout and still got downvoted is baffling... something is wrong somewhere

😲 What the f**** I never see this much payout on any post and it is on a comment !
Let me do some yoga !
And why did you downvote on this post @ned ?
@dan has already declined payout buddy !
🤔

wow, so to know that @dan already declined payout and @ned still went ahead to downvote @dan post, it only shows the level of maturity and goodwill of @dan way over @ned. @dan thanks for the awesome work you and your team are doing. I so appreciate you.

Maybe you'd like to transfer that $2800 as of writing over to a worthy cause like Utopian.io?

As for aggrandisement - do tell, what exactly offended you so much?

Probably the fact that @dan keeps posting about EOS, while sometimes giving out unsolicited corrections about steem. Also, this is a spill over from long standing disagreement between ned and dan, based on, but not limited to SMTs, linear/super linear vote curve or something, amongst others as listed by ned a few weeks back in one of @dan post.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

tl;dr: Dan is the smart one and Ned is jealous and lost without him, and in big trouble now.

personal feud... in my opinion

Seeing this, the average Steemian probably feels like this:

I hope you won't wait until the end of the Steemit movie to do the right thing.

We, as a community and as individuals, need to know you have Steemit's and Steem's best interests at heart.

Stop this pissing contest and focus on what matters!

Exactly my point too... Nations now celebrate you two @ned and @dan for the great work steemit. An average steemian who you have given hope is probably worried already on what happens next. Please let go all this going on and love up because you are leading so many people.

So are our parents filing for a divorce now? 🤔😉

You need to cut this shit out @ned - if you're that triggered just mute him, or flag him as one of your alt accounts. This is pathetic and you two need to take your issues off-chain

Downvoted for aggrandizement.

I don't normally care about this type of issue, but today I care and I'll air my opinion.

@ned what you did is so immature. I don't understand the motive but it is immature.

Even if it's a stunt, it is still immature.

You've lost the respect of thousands of people for this simple comment.
Even if you don't like the post or whatever, you should've given a clear reason for downvoting it. What is aggrandizement when he's already declined payout?

Oh! I get, post about EOS mostly get downvoted? Nanzense!!!!

Am still trying to figure out what aggrandizement means, I think its outrightly not necessary on here, what happened to pm's

I totally agree with you @ausbitbank. I believe they will resolve better off chain. They are two great forces here and there is so much for these platform if only they can fuse their strength together and help us all build a better world.

I don't think you've done anything wrong here, my comment was aimed at ned and his 2k+ self vote. Afaik you've continued to act honorably here, refusing payouts and still occasionally fighting abuse - I just hate to see you and ned fighting so publicly, it looks bad for the platform.

I agree with you @ausbitbank, it is bad for the platform and maybe they should just resolve these behind closed doors. We really don't have to know what's going on. This post to me is something about the community and we the community love the effort @dan has put into the EOS development and filling us in with great updates. Let's love please.

@ausbitbank you are right about @dan , but what about ned he never fight against any abuse and also he give permission to haejin to rape the reward pool by writing comment on his post.
Screenshot_20180204-180305.jpg
and also distribute his sp to sweetjss for raping the rewardpool .
after all these he came here just for downvoting a post for which is dan already drclined payout !
This is how ned works I think !
Fighting against good people and helping devils to rape the platform.

Yeah @ausbitbank... I would have loved a private end to this conflict... Wouldn't love to see him go

Exactly, I really don't understand the reason for this fight in here. Whatever the problem is /was, you guys can settle it amicably as adults instead of bringing it here. A lot of people look up to you guys and lots are already disappointed

yes, debate is nice, I actually prefer to see that, but both of you need to keep it civil and respectful or its going to affect all of us.

Well done @dan, you remain an honorable man to us all on steemit, is very glaring though.

Hey dan i'm great fan of yours.
You are best creative programmer.
Thanks for creating steem and Eos is going to be biggest hit of 2018.

I can't wait for the EOS to come on live. Sure gonna be mind blowing.

Hi @markzuckerbergs, @dan will never work for your Facebook. :)

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

May be he wants to show us the magical payout no. on his comment 🙄 @dan

You have not done anything wrong @dan, as a programmer, we always have an appetite to develop an improved program over an existing one and that is the concept behind your EOS @dan. keep the good work up, the community at large is waiting for your good result. Kind regards!

Hell sir i will like to read this post siri use 1 hour to compose this

https://steemit.com/writing/@sparkman101/keys-you-need-to-successful

@dan please am not also happy about this seeing a decline post Been flagged is uncalled for and please you guys should take this outta of the platform i love you both

Nothing... Excerpt if helping the community is now considered wrong

I'm in full agreement with you here @dan

The Austrian school of economics do not rely on the theory of perfect competition. Each individual reacts to the price which evolves from each of our actions. Austrians endorse Stigler’s concept of continuous upward notion from earlier rivalrous competition. Individuals are free to do the best they can in the market process.

Market process is distinct from market equilibrium. Austrians see that at all times there are powerful forces to be discovered and taken advantage of – entrepreneurial profit opportunities. The market process is one of discovery. No outcome is ever known. One learns by experience.

EOS is something that you have discovered and seized upon for yourself. Ignore @ned's playground tactics for now. Many have your back on EOS - including myself being a large token investor.

Best of luck - with or without Steemit's backing!

I really like you @ and I started following you, because you are a good programmer and useful for the world community, especially lately you released a program called eos.

Hmmm... 2.8K For a three word comment, who is raping the reward pool right now?

200.gif

From Nigeria, what will I do with a 2.7k payout? Damn! It's making me dizzy. 😇
What will I do to have a fraction of that? I would pour my damn soul into it. I still do for
my $5 posts.
Screenshot (169).png

You would have had a fraction of that if he hadn't upvoted himself so heavily that it pulled rewards away from everybody elses posts.

This is awesomely terrible!

Lmao. Kevin Hart knows what's up!

haha

I honestly dunno what to say or think, I'm just gonna stay focus

I thought it was your job to make Steemit better, @ned?

If I wasn't completely and madly in love with the Steem blockchain (which allows me to let go of a ton of bullshit and refocus on the positives) and instead I was someone looking at Steemit with fresh eyes, looking for a place where I can invest my time, money and energy, THIS RIGHT HERE would kill any interest I might have.

I keep telling people about STEEM, raving about its potential, its future, and I always have to explain that poor leadership is the reason for its current undervalued status, but also, hopefully, the reason for its future success - the users who love it will have to take charge instead of relying on the TOP DOGS.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I do hope that everyone involved checks their ego. STEEM is an achievement you all should be proud of, and it should be more important to you than petty bullshit.

I am in awe of what you have created here with STEEM and Steemit, and befuddled by this pettiness.

In my heart, you've said all I had in mind. To think about all those I've spread to gospel to and advised to invest, how will they handle this pettiness when and their will to invest when the see this. Thanks for airing this out.

Amen @anarchospace! While this is going on, users of Steemit are organizing meetups in Belgrade, Budapest and Zagreb (as you know), looking to connect, to grow the platform and to add value, true value, to the world.

And this is the kind of encouragement we get from the man on top?!?

Knock it off @ned, and start thinking of Steemit! Everything else is irrelevant and will be forgotten, but with Steemit you have a chance of making a true impact, a real value added to the world.

Start acting like a true Steemian! You have plenty of possible role models that are STEEM 24/7!!!

@anarchospace has said it all, @dan. Steemit, a platform of such elaborate elegance and efficacy, that is so ideally attuned toward positively rewarding positive behaviour ... continues to be undermined by these ridiculous pissing contests. People that should know better, pettily attacking people like you -- heck, people who are you -- who are trying to do better. And for what?

Steemit is an amazing achievement, a Heaven of the Long Spoons made real. Steem the currency is an amazing achievement that already performs better and is more technically superior to most coins on the market. Together they're a game changer for the world. We can either rise to meet the quality of this project, this creation wrought by our hands or we can drag it down with us as we fall, doomed by venality and the dross of human weakness.

I couldn't agree more, it's really saddening to see openly that even the Top dogs, seem to have lost their vision for Steemit and have descended into a public show of ego and power. #DoBetter

I guess that is how people grow... This is themost dangerous poison ... The feeling of achievement ...

This comment right here says it all. Who, this is the message @ned and @dan need to read. You have brought a lot of dreams to reality with the steem block chain, don't lose the focus as all eyes are on you. Leadership should take charge of situations and lead others the right way. Everyone right here needs you both to unite and form a bigger team, bigger project and change the world for the best.

What the hell, @ned?

Do you care about Steem? Do you understandthe potential risk of making your emotions public and act like a child with one of the creators and core-minds of Steem? Do you understand you are a public and ethic figure of this platform?

WHY the hell would you flag this content and upvote yourself to be highly-rewarded with such a non-sense/stupid argument...

What do you want us to think? –"Oh, the creator of Steem is also raping the reward pool flagging amazing content and upvoting himself..."

Go and flag the stupid bullshit that is polluting the TRENDING page... Go and flag somehting thats not creating value not just in this platform, but in the CRYPTOCURRENCY technology...

Dammit! Ego always comes to ruin it all...

the reward pool flagging amazing

At the end of it all, I feeel these two elephants would become best of friends. They just need to let go of their egos and get to each other on a plain ground!
I love you both and would love to see this happen!

Exactly. This guys are our role model here so they need fix everything wrong for the growth of Steemit

I'm surprised to see a downvote when the payout has already be declined. You guys are not suppose to be doing this.
I think you two have to settle this amicably cos this will not be good for the system

Yes its nt supposed to be so....i really appreciate wat @dan and his team are doing...dere shouldnt hv been a downvote wen d post has already been declined, to show transparency....@ned plz u arent suppose to flag this content and upvote yourself to be highly-rewarded with such a naive arguments...plz wisen up

@dan @ned peace peace peace.... Its is important to heed the lessons of failure

As a public figure a lot of eyes are on you. Everyone watches to see your reactions to issues and scenarios. I'm in no position to play a pilate here. But I really don't like seeing things done online like this when issues could be sorted amicably in a better place offline.

Yeah, i think it's best they trash out whatever the issue is between them and stop being sentimental.

I'm surprised too but I believe they can settle any issue they have for the betterment of Steemit. They are our role model

@ned and @dan, you guys are leader and please I will want you settle whatever is it for the growth of the system

I want to salute @dan for this post and I appreciate the effort of you guys. You have really done a great job. You guys should keep it up.

Exactly. they should settle any issue so the system grows faster cos united we stand

I think we all have to calm down at this point. Downvoting a post that has declined payout does not really have any effect.
You two are our role models. Please show us some examples of love

Exactly. I love that word there, ROLE MODEL cos we have alot to learn from them

Loading...

I'm still green here on Steemit, but this doesn't seem cool at all.

This site has truly incredible potential, and I am still unable to find a better idea on the www, but this type of behavior from the CEO is just ridiculous.

This isn't how CEO's should act in public, especially on the platform that they are supposed to be growing and nurturing.

Something to think about, I guess...

What an irony. I don't still understand how downvoting is an aggrandizement in anyway. Maybe it should have been, "Self upvoted for aggrandizement."

Leaders lead by example. Upvoting your comment here is against the spirit of the community, not worth thousands of dollars and sets a bad example...regardless of your issues with Dan...which would be better settled off platform

This is the most disappointing action I have ever seen in Steemit. It has so many fails on so many different ends.

  1. Lacks respect, you guys have worked together and were friends at some point
  2. You are downvoting for aggrandizement, but there are so many posts that have aggrandizement, you can start by checking @haejin and his uber price targets and start downvoting them
  3. Steemit has its own issues at the moment and I would really like to see you tackle them first instead of criticizing another platform
  4. I wouldn't even talk about the 2k+ vote if it really deserved that amount and if self voting/voting abuse was not a thing but by doing this you are demonstrating the weakness of Steemit and adding to it.

Hope you end up working to fix Steemit issues before anything else or else despite all the good things that are happening in this platform it will be doomed.

Great comment. I think it deserves 100$+ vote

This just disappointing @ned as the head of Steemit you shouldn't act like this. Though I have no idea what @dan did to you, being new and all, I can atleast tell that your being unprofessional. I sincerely hope that you can both settle your difference for the sake of the community. More success to the both of you.

@ned ....is topping the trending list with a 2.k payout...what will minnows like me do with our $2 payout, i would say u should stop showing off..@Dan your a good man and i admire your courage.

Wow...how does one of the leaders of Steemit up vote a comment like that? What kind of standard are we setting for the community? New users on the platform are working hard to build our blogs and he up votes a 3 word comment for $2,700?

Dude your attitude sucks... EOS won't but you will take the Steem down! Congrats for your $2000 upvote :claps:

On a declined post @ned really? And just 3words? Who is raping the reward pool? There was no need downvoting @dan's declined post.

But honestly i dont think its fair to downvote @dan for such a great post and upvote yourself..that is unfair to the community of steemit as a whole

When I first saw this comment I felt my heart sink. I started to feel fear and resentment. And then I remembered the importance of brief meditation so that I can send to myself and get to the bottom of what’s really frightening me.

And it’s always my thoughts that frighten me and my mind tricks me into thinking that somebody else that has caused my fear.L

After the brief meditation I realise that ironically it was my ego once again. I was afraid that having made the decision to actively promote Steemit , I would be ridiculed by my YouTube followers for recommending a platform that is headed by someone who could be so foolish as to post something like that and then vote himself.

When I remember to do so, I choose to see things as opportunities and I think this is one of those opportunities to learn and grow and be compassionate on the one hand and astute on the other.
I was speaking at length to a witness here on Steemit and he reminded me that we all enjoyed souls so let us not forget that this applies to at the time and actin I was speaking at length to a witness here on Steemit and he reminded me that we are all injured souls so let us not forget that this applies to @dan and @ned
They are human and it’s difficult to imagine being in either of their shoes. Money and power corrupts the mind. I know this from the little money and power that I have.
Many times in my life my ego has led me to say and do lots of stupid things. So I forgive myself because it’s only human and I forgive @ned too.

I think I’ll use this opportunity to inform my YouTube followers that it is their responsibility to do as much research as they can and not rely upon me. I don’t really know what’s going on here And only today I was reminded of that saying saying “those who say don’t know and those who know don’t say. “

I regard Steemit as a social experiment, and this three word emission is a very interesting turn.

I couldn´t agree more! I can also forgive, but I have to say, that I expect @Ned to show some greatness and openly admit that what he was doing there was simply wrong.
This is not my personal opinion, but just look at all these comments - there is not a single person, that honestly thinks, that what he was doing is a professional behavior by any means.

WTF? $2,710.78 for a simple comment? This is not a good example for new members on Steemit!

Well I had to go check the meaning of aggrandizement. 🙈it's really a long word @ned. But that aside, @dan did decline payment so how does this come into play?

Just an innocent question o. I'm not interested in getting into whale wars

I'm not sure what the hell happened between you and Dan, but this sort-of feud is ridiculous.

I don't think this post counts as any of those.

Not to mention abusing rewards with a $2.6k upvote, with a shoddy disguise by delegating to misterdelegation.

I was hoping it was just @dan moving onto a new project, as he always does, not some internal wars.

If you're so concerned by competition, then you better compete. Make STEEM and Steemit better. Attacking the competition is just triggering the Streisand Effect and making you look like a fool.

I sure hope this comment isn't the start of something awful at Steemit Inc.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

More info on Smart Media Tokens (SMTs) at https://SMT.steem.io

I'm interested in seeing how this plays out, @ned. You got my support in any case . appreciate the work you do for Steem.

Thank you for clarifying this @ned, those who care for steemit and it's future should never stop fighting to keep the platform alive, sadly, you might have reached the opposite here though, as negative attention is also attention, and sometimes even the best advertisement

So your thinking was Dans building a competitor and everybody should know about it, so lets push him into a corner and give him the perfect opportunity to announce a competitor by showing just how corrupt our own system is.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

The only thing diluting the marketplace is your ego and your tendancy to create forty million new names for a coin we only need one name for, kind of like dollars or euros or bitcoin, there is no DOLLAR, DOLLAR BACKED DOLLAR SMT DOLLAR,SP DOLLAR, VEST DOLLAR blah, can you confuse the fuck out of aunt bertha user anymore at all please?

You can use ONE coin ALL kinds of ways, you know they've been doing it since sea shells and salt were money? Imagine that!

I'm betting on Dan, you seem pretty clueless and noobish.

do you even understand the vision of @ned's smt? you should read the smt whitepaper at https://SMT.steem.io if you had i doubt you would say this. Smt is a project that is going to solve a lot of problems by helping people monetize their online content with the help of the steem blockhchain without having to care so much about the underlying tech

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

LOL, yes, I do understand how it works, and as a top witness who contributes to managing the chain and setting the price feed, I know exactly what I'm talking about. Thanks.

Thank you for letting us know what's behind of this from your point of view. Especially for a newbie like me your acting was hard to understand. But please: really don't forget retracting this vote! :-)

This is the CEO of Steemit?
fuck.

Thank you. You too.

Hi @ned, I think you were right doing this... I think Steem will cut a good chunk of business from all Smart Contract Platforms. Be it Ethereum or EOS!

I cannot wait for the release of SMTs. Is there any concrete date for the release of SMTs?

Hi @ned, I think you were right doing this... I felt the "Inside Track" for some time as well... and it did not feel good... I think @dan is a genius, but he also said that he would not use Steem anymore when he left... It feels a bit like he tries to hijack the community... I guess anyday he will dump his 700.000 Steem.. he keeps powering down but does not sell it bit by bit... perhaps he will dump it all at once some day... like he did with bitshares if I remember correctly...

Would have been great if you used the vote that you did on this comment for our fundraising post... You don't think that HUGE vote could be put to better use?

right? This one vote is worth more than YouAreHOPE has fed HUNDREDS of orphans with over 4 months in 7 countries.

Would really like to see Ned and Dan patch things up, more good can be done from working together rather than fighting.

Ned's pinned tweet on Twitter reads: "STEEM should be a top 10 coin just on the basis of usage level and community size."

Downvoting a post by the founding architect of the Steem blockchain does not contribute to the substantiation of the aforesaid claim.

EOS is already among the Top 10 cryptos by market cap - perhaps there is something to be learned from Dan's focus on regularly communicating developmental updates.

As @whoopi noted, this tiff helps no one in the long run.

Critically looking at the crypoto market and the usage of steem as said by@ned on twiter, i dont think EOSIO would cause any harm on the long run.

This tiff between Dan And Ned kinda hurts, two people I greatly admire. We all just need to get along, don't make this a battle like BTC and BCH, please its only going to hurt us all in the long run.

rightly said @whoopi as "inspiration creates a never ending power that make you go on and on and on" So they should inspire us to to carry the great steem to her destination by showing us signs that all is well with them and the system.

Ouch!

Why the -$170 downvote @blocktrades ?!

I thought we were supposed to be one Big Happy Family

It is evident already that @dan and @ned are two string forces with much impact on the general public right here on steemit. Imagine if these two forces work together, it's limitless, it's boundless, it beyond us and hey, it's gonna change not just the perception of how people see life, but change the world for the better. There is power in oneness guys. Please put your differences behind and let's move on form there.

Are you off you rocker? What on earth are you playing at @ned? I can appreciate that you perhaps felt abandoned by Dan right when you needed him the most because ever since you've seemed to be completely out of your depth. I really thought you might turn things around but it seems power has gone to your head completely and you cannot see the wood for the trees. Please take a breath and THINK. You are the caretaker of one of the most revolutionary, transformative tools that has ever existed. Try to behave accordingly for goodness sake.

THIS ALL OF THIS. What an amateur he is proving to be.

That's my 2 year income right there. I feel like I don't know what. :(

Oh I can't see clearly. What's happening to my eyes?

Downvoted for disagreement of rewards.

This does not look good. Using your own and the Steemit Inc. stake to vote your comment to $2000. That does not seem a good use for that steem power. @ned I suggest analyzing your anger here. Very rarely is anger righteous. There is no good reason to reward yourself for this comment and flag something that isn't even getting a payout. Is there? This does not inspire confidence.

@ned,
aggrandizement.jpg

Cheers~

Seriously, this is just a shame, seeing our parents fight this way, even after they are already divorced. 😉
To see the positive aspect of this, it may give us Steemian children the chance to grow up on our own and learn how we don´t want to behave in the future.
We have to be the leaders and adults we don´t get as a role model here.
We have to grow together and show the love and respect, that we all deserve.

LOL you guys are the best. Blockchain bros :)

Too late, you done made a complete ass out of yourself in front of literally everyone. Your resignation should be imminent, eh?

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Are you really this much of a jealous, insecure, douchebag @ned?

So can we expect every week for the @steemit account power downs to be used to power up an account under steemit inc so that the voting power can be used for this type of childishness and recklessness? Because if so it'd be great for the rest of us stake holders to know so that those of us who didn't plan on creating the next Mark Zuckerberg can go home and move on with our lives.

Wow a $2700 payout comment. It must feel amazing being able to receive $2k just with a single click

Ned I don't think you realize how many low earning people that work hard to add value to this platform you insult the fuck out of when you do something like this.

You're supposed to be a leader bro.

I think i am seeing $2k+ on this comment?? Or am i dreaming

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Healthy discourse it good, however this payout is beyond absurd, especially given your position and the origin of the @misterdelegation (it's Steemit Inc. if anyone's wondering) account. I am flagging this on that basis. Maybe upvote comments into prominence when you lose your rank in file that you feel you deserve? $2100 of this vote would be better spent elsewhere on the platform.

This is abuse and is a very terrible example to set of how to conduct yourself on the chain.

EDIT: Flag retracted since the OP-downvote and comment-upvote were removed.

absolutely right

This comment has received a 0.31 % upvote from @booster thanks to: @jassi.

It’s possible I am making the mistake of caring.

Maybe, I got a few EOS tokens (for the first time) after reading this thread, if you care that much, maybe it is important and a good project.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

This is how I feel when I see someone can buy a car with a selfvote.

2222giphy.gif

EDIT:

And of course I will retract the vote.

Good to know.

@ned You should publically apologise for this. You've let down everyone who has invested their time, effort and money into this platform. Actions like this will make people more likely to invest in Eos than in STEEM.

@Ned, Grow up. How much money is needed for a greedy person like you?. Why do you have to be so petty & childish?

I had a glasses on me while i was looking at the upvote of comment, i put more glasses one by upon another, i see the same. Then i found magnifying glass to get a certain result, but it doesnt help either. Later on, i figure it out its just a dream, so i enjoy the screenshot i took.

Somewhere in the world right now there's a child crying because there's no food..probably haven't eaten for days!
We can use this money for charity! Touch life with this power. Help the downtrodden! @dan @ned

Happy Steeming 😢

A personality with post of three words and a meaning of billion votes. No body can sense what it is, I am also not able to know where I can get the meaning of these three words. If it would be possible , I want also get downvoted for aggrandizement, for nothing to loose and will share the movement with whole world.

Loading...

I always saw @ned decline the payouts of every post that enriched the reward pool of Steemit for other Steemians . Thus, this is how the Steemians react.
But Downvoting a post which has already denied payout is not making any sense. What is happening here between you two?
However, Adding my small drop of Upvote to this Steemit Ocean @dan and Reducing the 2700$ comment by my 0.01$ downvote.

May the Steem be with us all.

It seems to me here nature is conflicting within. Till the lava remains under crust, everything looks normal. When it comes out most of the times it destroyes the surroundings.
Hope the Metter will not comeout in public further.

@dan, I know my upvote might be nothing, but i just have to, to show i support your project.

"but how would you like it"

As CEO of Steemit Inc he should be above reacting emotionally.

"You know, @ned isn't the one who has been powering down STEEM"

Irrelevant. That is distracting from his actions now.

"Everyone is losing their mind about the reward-pool."

You seem to be missing the broader point that everyone is losing their mind over. It's not about just the money from the reward pool. It's also about the immaturity and lack of critical thinking that brought the CEO of Steemit Inc to make such a poor decision.

People are flipping out because this kind of behavior strikes to the core of confidence in Steemit Inc.

Seeing this makes me think on all the sh*t mainstream media is giving us lately. I wonder what would happen if a respected journalist decides to write an article on behaviours like these? We are struggling as a whole community to survive these times where regualtion, FUD and desbelief from the Status Quo will put our streght as a community to test. Now, when we are down from 8 USD to 3 a Steem is the time many will jump off the boat.
So please guys, show some respect for those who are making the reward pool bigger, I did not close some green positions on other alt-coins to move it here to see this childish behaviour.
I want to keep sharing about Steemit but @Ned doing this is not helping anybody, even less yourself.
I would love to see EOS (@dan) to the moon same as Steem. Keep the love!

aggrandizement what ?? Have you seen @Haejin's posts ???
I can smell something burning.

Damn, the drama! Steem is for education and freedom..? Let's stay positive. EOS is a great movement, so is Steem!! You built this platform together, don't bring down a ship because a captain has built another ship to add to the fleet. We are taking down the current $ system for the sake of freedom. If we turn on each other, we are only participating in the bs of popular politics. We look up to @ned & @dan , we respect you both. You are forgiven for your slight towards the other, but try not to put your disagreements on the blockchain. Let us move forward as civil Steemians. @ned , you still have 6 days to remove your upvote. . . You're call, but you've made your point, but I believe a lot of the community would appreciate knowing that a point is all you wanted to get across.. Much love to you both, and would love to see @dan on Steemit a little more often! Go Eagles! Steelers can't have the Pats getting a win tonight.

@dan always declines the payment of his posts jus to make the steemit reward pool grow bigger for minnows like us and we really appreciate that as my upvote hardly makes any contribution to this post but yet am doing it jus to make myself satisfied that i too had contributed something To a great post

@ned dear i have created post for you 8 days ago u have not seen this kindly view it and dont mind

Down voting to some one post is not good he must be given a chance sorry @ned

Wow @Ned this is the highest wow can't even place it this the greatest comment payout ever

Downvoted for inanity.

Ned, youre a c*nt.

Hi @ned sorry i just flagged this comment because i think that 2600 it too much a reward considering a witness update that took me 3 hours to write and speak of what i am doing to make this grow got only 5$

So i think this is disproportionate.

Maybe you could use your stake to help those who are actually doing something useful for steem and steemit.

Thousands dollars in just one comment! Wow!
BEST JOB IN THE WORLD

please am a new person here, can you explain why he was downvoted?

I don't seem to understand @ned

thank you for your kind enlightening

Thank you for explaining the rationale behind your action dear @ned.
I wanted to criticise your decision before seeing people supporting your action, this shows me you are on point.
But if i can advocate on @Dan 's behalf,if you can pardon him on this one,i'm sure he has learnt his lesson.

Thanks for giving rationale behind your action. I wanted to tag you wicked before i saw your reason, and seeing people supporting you on this action of yours speaks volume.
Thank you for making this community a better one

Wow... this is beyond me...over $2000 upvote from a comment

Just checked you out Ned, turns out you're the boss. Honoured to comment on your reply but Whoa Ned, this much on a comment, I'm new to steemit but i know it'll take a while before i make this much on my posts.

@dan upvoted sir but as i am new to steemit my vote make any contribution to your reward pool anyway i support it by commenting to make myself visible in the contribution.

I seriously don't have the slightest clue as to what's happening here.

But from what I've seen, 73 votes amounting to 2700.20? That comment should be tagged hot. But why so many upvotes/views?

Don't worry @berylwills, I know a Doctor, his name is @catweasel. He'll treat you properly

Please @ned explain to me how you get somany for down voting someone's post , and please explain how he aggrandised.....

@ned i think we all need explanation to this Aggrandizement..@ned and @dan..both of you always causing traffic on the net...lol...

@ned, you are such a wizard

I still dont believe my eyes here.

I don’t really understand the downvote on a post that declined the payouts, nor I understand why that comment received +2000 in votes?

Can you kindly share an explanation with the community? A lot of people are disturbed by seeing this.

wow..... this is more than great. I was so surprised when I saw this. I couldn't believe due to the fact that I don't know comment earning can be this high😱. This is just too great.

There’s nothing wrong with a little competition in business, it helps encourages people to push to achieve a better platform for or everyone. It also helps crosse promote. Some healthy competition can only help steemit To improve the platform for all of us if its up to the challenge.

Well, i don't see anything bad in what @dan is doing, firstly, as a programmer : we always have an appetite to create an improved program over an existing one and that is the concept behind EOS @dan is working on. If the reasons why @ned created this great platform should remain, then we can all come together to make this beautiful community great once again without any controversy! kind regards

Wow... this am seeing is beyond me... i hope i get close to such in future

This is a bitter-sweet experience.
$2000 plus on a comment?
Damn! Power is sweet, especially steem power!

I thought you were a huge holder of EOS @ned. So why Censor people?

it's very interesting, no? I wish he would build a better front-end rather than hate on Dan.

Ummm...I am supposed to be in church, but here I am reading comments from a comment on a post getting more upvotes and comments than the actual post itself. 🙌🙌 @ned & @dan
Ummm...what does aggrandizement even mean? 🤔

Use google

What the shit, Ned Flanders?

Upvoted for improving my vocabulary

wow, this is the first time I'm seeing something this awesome.

From bitshares to steem then to EOS, that's like achieving 6 times of what some high ranking innovators rarely achieve once in life.

Right there, outside the window, lies different projects with high market speculation that never leaves the idea stage, but then right here we are with not just three active projects but three paradigm shifting innovations that doesn't stop at the first iteration.

Ever moving forward to break new boundaries (SMT) , one day, everything written here will be archived as a museum material because right here, the future is being made.

I'm guessing this is what it feels like when you're out with a couple, and one randomly punches the other in the face, and then there's just a room full of people feeling awkward (us)

I can't believe what I'm seeing right now. This kind of upvote for comment. It's really trending

@ned, number of down votes you got, should tell you something.
Community is trying to tell you something.
Do you care what community has to say?

Are u an Angel or christiano ronaldoz fan
