Seafood Asian Style part 3

While fish dishes are indeed tasty with many options, the ocean much more if looking outside of the pond, so to speak. Aside from those with fins in the sea, crustaceans are also an amazing part of a marine based diet.

Shellfish are greatly celebrated here in China and I have come to love the different styles of prawns available. Prawn can be consumed in many different ways. They have been mashed into mixtures for dumplings and have served as soup bases elsewhere. Some will prefer to eat them with the shell on but I have come to enjoy the process of peeling tasty cooked prawns. The flavours seep inside of the shell and give a fragrant aroma, filling the mouth with tasty flavours. Prawns need cleaning but can be consumed in moderation as part of a seafood meal. Providing a variety of seafood is key as not everybody can stomach all parts of the ocean.
