Healthy Home Made French Fries @senseicat

in food •  7 years ago

This is my recipe that I invented this afternoon as an after school treat for my son.

There is no need to call anyone to come and eat as it seems that the aroma wafting throughout the house indicates when these healthy fries are all done.

3 large baked potatoes
1 Tbsp. poultry seasoning
1 Tbsp. Cajun seasoning
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. hot sauce

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Scrub baked potatoes, peel the outside, rinse, slice to your desired thinness.

Add all the remaining ingredients and mix together in a bowl.

Transfer to baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes, turn at least once.

At the end, I like to broil on high for 5 minutes to enhance the crispiness.

I continue baking for up to another 15 minutes.

I prefer to serve it hot right out of the oven and the taste is so much better than any restaurant fries.

Good Recipe @senseicat!

It is really good that you used olive oil to cook, this is one of the best cooking oils to use because it produces less aldehydes than many other oils, being this substance linked to many types of cancer.

God Bless Us All!

Nice...Thank you for sharing. I just picked up a NuWave Infared Oven from the Thrift Store yesterday..I'm excited to see what all things I can make in a bit healthier manner too.

I make a nice amount of extra income selling Thrifted items on eBay...how much I make depends on how much I work it and what cool stuff I find...I Post here and I Vlog the Hauls & Solds and the journey of a Thrifty ReSeller... you don't even need money to start, you can begin by selling stuff from around your home or ask Friends & Fam to donate items .... ....Find it, List It, Sell it, repeat :)

The problem with fries is the oil and salt, you took those 2 away, you should also try to do this with sweet potato, it's sooo tastyyy!!!
